the answer to me is yes.......i try to stay current with the A & E of the world and i decided to listen to and watch as much of her work as i could........it is actually quite fascinating. what i like most is the way she delivers the songs, the refrain drives right through you. the choreography in the videos is stolen directly from michael jackson and madonna.......but who doesnt do that. take a few minutes and watch this whole thing and tell me what you think about her.................................http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrO4YZeyl0I&feature=av2e

She reminds me somewhat of Madonna. Let's hope she is as multi-talented.

I compare her to a modern day elton John. Crazy costumes, good music, and a great pianist. Check out any of her acoustic versions

I, personally, do not get the fascination. In my opinion, she puts on a good show (if you like that kind of thing), but I would rank her below MANY others in terms of real talent. I consider her more a good marketing campaign.

My 72 year-old father - who shrugs off 99% of today's pop music scene - IS A FAN. Make of this what you will. One, no, three things cannot be denied: the girl's got talent, presence, and chutzpah.

I can't believe so is "so big", yet so young.

I don't think I have ever heard her music, but I sure have seen her!

I haven't seen the videos and don't really want to, but I do like Lady Gaga. I like everything I've heard except the song that starts with the "Rah, rah, rahrahrahrah, rah, rah, rahrahrah."

"Every generation throws a hero up the pop charts."
Paul Simon

I do not think she's original.

Grace Jones, David Bowie, Alice Copper, Madonna, Elton John, Kiss etc. have all done this shtick before....and in some cases better...some worse.

It will be interesting to see if she has the longevity and ability to stay relevant.

In my opinion...she doesnt, but it's only an opinion

I think she has real talent, but she spends so much time manufacturing her image that the talent gets a little lost.

It drives me batty when she gets compared to Madonna who is a total pop icon and has been for years. I think Lady Gaga is more about the show than the true talent. I'm also curious to see if she will be around for a long time.

I find it amazing that she has consistent airplay on adult contemporary stations. There was a time I'd hear at least 3 of her songs in rotation as the weeks go by. Not many artists can say that.

At first, I admit that I couldn't stand her. "Poker Face" got on my nerves. But I started liking her "Paparazzi", "Bad Romance" and "Telephone". Not sure how I feel about the new "Alejandro" song, but her songs definitely have a catchy hook.

And my 70 year old mom likes some of her songs, too. I was amused by that.

Oh, I wanted to add just one more thing. I think she has strong vocal talent. Much more than Britney or Madonna, but somewhere between them and Christina Aguilera. (I don't think many singers can reach that level outside of Whitney and Mariah.)

I'm not sure what I think of her. I like some of her songs, but I don't like some of the things she does.

Did anyone see her Barbara Walters interview though? I thought it was fascinating. She came out in a navy blue suit and was perfectly "normal." No sunglasses, answered questions very thoughtfully and I thought honestly. I think she is very smart and it will be interesting to see what she does next.

I'm glad to see someone else makes the connection between her and Grace Jones. For me her style seems a lot like Klaus Nomi (imagine everyone Googling him now).

AS for talent, voice-wise she sure has it. But there are 10,000 people singing on street corners for loose change with talent. Longevity in any business requires a combination of a talented supporting staff, personality, marketing, on and on, all of which is far too early to tell in her case.

I think she's a weirdo .... and dont like her music or her appearance,,,,, but why OH WHY do i know all the words to her songs!!!!:confused3

I agree with whoever said will she be around in many years in that she is a "disposable Pop Star" who wont be around in 5-10 years .... like 90% of pop stars who start out nowdays

Shes nutty but is also the most talented new american star in years youtube her today show preformance she is so intense and a wonderfull showman...in a word SUPERSTAR...YES
