Ladies~What's your take on BEARDS???

LOL, you guys are funny.

I never thought of it as scratchy. DH's hair grows very fast and it is much softer grown out than the 5 o clock stubble.

I love a nice well trimmed beard, but hate goaties - yuck! I've never gotten beard burn from dh when he has a beard, it's just stubble that's a killer.

I agree! It's just the first couple days that are scratchy!

I think that sometimes they look good on other men, but I think it's too scratchy on my DH. He does wear a goatee sometimes, but he trims it pretty short. (Actually, he has to. He'd hate for me to tell people, but he doesn't grow much facial hair. ) It itches when he kisses me.

My DH grew one on a lark this past August - I love it on him. So much so that I can't "remember" the clean-shaved face that I looked at for 16 years...

He hates it (there's a lot of gray in there)....but keeps it cause it kindof gets me all hot and bothered ......LOL.....

I love men in beards when they are nicely kept. DH has had one for the vast majority of our marriage. He looks very nice with it. It's only scratchy when it's growing in. For DH, that means I put up with about 8-9 days of scratch, then it's fully grown.

The best man in our wedding couldn't grow a beard, and really wanted one. DH shaved his off, put it in an envelope, and gave it to the friend! Not quite the same though.

Some guys look good in them...Both my ex-husband and Roger looked better with beards. On the other hand, I just can't imagine TJ with one.

It all depends on the guy... I used to like a more clean shaven face but really seem to be going for a goatee look now more than anything. My brother has a beard and I think he looks great! All depends on the guy I think.

I love beards. But not long and scraggly ones.
My DH has had one almost our entire married life. Used to just have a moustache, but then grew a full beard one winter. He used to shave it in the summer and I told him how much I love it so now he keeps it all the time.
The one time he has shaved it completely during our married life, DS was about 2 yo and my DH came crawling down the hall out of the bath with a towel over his head. When DS pulled the towel off DS screamed his head off because he didn't know his own dad!! LOL. really funny.

DH has a mustache & goatee - has for quite a few years. For as long as I've known him, he's had at least the mustache (30 years - back then he had a "Fu-Manchu & sideburns! ha-ha!) Younger DS currently has a goatee & mustache and older DS just recently shaved - he looks good "scruffy".

IMO, Facial hair=ICK!

I'll agree that on occaison a man could look good with a goatee or a little 5 o'clock shadow, but I just don't think I could kiss a man with a mustache/beard combo. I think I'd be totally skeeved.

I prefer clean shaven. Anything else scratches. Occasionally a little scratch is ok.

An old boyfriend had a beard. He looked great with one. At one point during a really hot summer, he shaved it off! Eek! It didn't look like him at all. I couldn't wait until it was back in. However, he's the only one I liked with a beard. In general, I don't like them. A mustache is okay, but not the beard.
