Ladies -whatcha doing for V-day?

I got DH a Magic Mouse from Apple. He got a MacBook Pro for Christmas, and he really wants this mouse.

We're not doing anything much because I have to work a Father/Daughter Dance at work that will have me out until 11:00 Wednesday-Friday nights. So DH is going to wait on me while I sit on the couch for my gift, LOL.

I got DH Zomebieland on Blu-Ray.

We're going to stay in. Super romantic evening planned... I get to proofread some papers for him. He has 20 papers due in just one class this semester so I've got lots to proofread.

Well.....we were going to go to the casino as per my request, however my 13yodd is having oral surgery Sat., so we will be home taking care of her.

However dh is not off the hook for the casino. I always have my b-day on the 27th to fall back on.;) Plus his b-day is the 23rd, so we usually roll it all into one.

My birthday is the day before so we won't be doing gifts. We'll exchange cards, make dinner together, and watch 2 movies (one of his choice, one of mine). We're pretty low-key.

I'm getting DF a Zune for Valentine's Day. We normally don't do much, but he just got his first "after college job", and he's said that a lot of his coworkers listen to mp3 players while they work, so I'll get him one so he can fit in with the cool kids.

I'm thinking we'll probably do some Chinese carry-out for dinner, and catch up on some Netflix movies. Yummo!

I doubt we'll buy eachother anything more than a card, but my parents are supposed to be coming up to watch the kids so we can go out. We've not gone out in a long time...maybe over a year.

We'll probably go have a drink and dinner and then see a movie. Can't wait.

We're exchanging cards...and running away to a cabin in the woods for the weekend. :lovestruc

Dinner, then I'm going to go sit in a cold ice rink while DBF plays hockey...

Seriously, though, I'm happy with that. He plays in an over-30 league on Sunday nights and I really enjoy going to his games. Usually his 90-year-old great-aunt is there, too (her son - DBF's 2nd cousin, I think? - is also on the team), and we're pretty much the only fans. And I still get a little thrill go through me when I see DBF skate out in his uniform...

I just think it's funny that there were no games this past Sunday - Super Bowl Sunday - but all the guys are playing as normal on Valentine's Day Sunday!

Your celebration plans all sound great!

We're currently sitting in whiteout blizzard of 30" of snow, so who knows what Sunday will bring?!

So far all I've gotten DH is a card and his favorite candies :goodvibes. We have dinner ressies in Va, then DH's invited me to the movies. DD2 gave me Ruth's Chris GC for my BD a few months ago we haven't taken advantage of yet, so I thought this would be perfect opportunity. Cool it's on a Sunday this year, hopefully we can have a romatic early dinner outing w/o fighting the crowds. :lovestruc

If the weather does not permit travel to Va., plan B will be something local, maybe even our near by American Legion offering a VDay celebration with steak dinner and Blue Grass concert . Actually their yummy steaks, bake potato, grn beans, salad and dessert, are deliciously awesome for a great bargain of $10.! :thumbsup2

I LOVE my magic mouse!! GREAT gift!! :thumbsup2

Oh and we don't usually do presents much for Valentine's Day. We usually have a nice dinner, but this year we are going to the Ren Festival (have never been to one) and doing a vow renewal. :)

Nothing...not a huge fan of Valentine's Day. It's a Hallmark holiday, restaurants are packed, flowers are ridiculously expensive. I would rather get flowers on June 14th just because than Feb. 14th because he feels like he has to. Yes, I am a Valentine's Scrooge! LOL

I prefer Valentines Realist!

DFiance plans to cook dinner... I'll make dessert and we exchange cards with sweet notes. I too would prefer flowers just because he thought of me rather than because he's "supposed to".

we plan on going out for a valentine's day brunch since it falls on a sunday this year and I got DH a card - we don't really do gifts

We don't really do that much on Valentines Day. This year DH will be out of town visiting his elderly mother in the nursing home. I have a box of his favorite chocolates and a card he can take with him. Tomorrow we're going out for lunch with a 2 for 1 coupon to Copeland's. I'm a cheep date.
