LADIES: what is your typical WDW outfit, hair, and makeup look?

We go to Disney twice a year, usually in the warmer months, and I don't worry too much because it's just so hot! We are going at the end of this week (hooray) and I plan on trying to make myself look a little more presentable, lol! Love this thread!

I usually wear the tight exercise style capris that are polyester/spandex. They dry fast, wick moisture, and are comfy. My favorites are from Target and also the Zella brand from Nordstrom. I have some from Athleta too that I like but they are more expensive. I usually wear a variety of t-shirts with them - I have several very inexpensive plain ones from the "Basics" section at H&M. Also love American Apparel unisex v-neck shirts. For shoes, I usually wear my Nike sneakers (cross-training ones) and will sometimes wear Toms but only if we're going out for a bit and not doing much walking. No support.

As for hair, I usually dry it and curl it and then pull it back into a low pony tail. The curls help keep my frizz in check (or hidden) from the humidity and it's easy to tease my hair a little and make my pony tail look fuller. I rarely wear my hair down at WDW - too humid.

As for makeup, I usually wear the same I do in "every day life". This includes Urban Decay primer potion as a base for my eye shadow - highly recommend especially for the heat and humidity. I follow that with a light color/shimmery eye shadow (Ulta brand has inexpensive ones), liquid liner on top (I like the Sephora brand pen style ones), MAC kohl liner on the bottom, mascara primer (Lancome), and a waterproof mascara (been using Sephora brand). I brush MAC studio fix powder on my face and that's it - no other foundation or concealer. All of this stays in place for me throughout the day and at most, I'll touch up the powder mid-day when we return to the resort.

One of my favorite aspects of our December 2014 trip was the cold weather- I wore lulu wunderunder crops or pants daily with Uggs. Paired with a cute lulu jacket or NF fleece. I never felt more thin or cute at Disney. And it was so easy.

I can't imagine trudging around the parks all day wearing Uggs. I've never actually seen a single person that wears them pick up their feet and walk, they shuffle.

My Disney wardrobe is the same as it is at home. Shorts, tshirts or sleeveless tops, Keens, ponytail, zero makeup, lip balm and sunglasses.

I wear Uggs all winter long and agree they would be awful to walk in the parks in. They are very wide so no one's foot is securely snug in them, which causes them to flop around or the person to "shuffle" in them. If I'm walking fast in them, I feel like I have to scrunch my toes to keep them from flopping around. Not comfy!

Some useless info on Uggs: they were invented in Australia for surfers to put on after immediately getting out of the water. Their fur lining absorbed sand and wicked moisture. This is why they are not waterproof or great for winter wear, even though that's how everyone primarily wears them now. So they were actually invented for warm climates :thumbsup2

I got tired of hating the photos of myself, so I made more of an effort this year. Generally it was leggings and a dress or capris with a tee and a cardigan. I even brushed my hair and put on lipgloss. :rotfl:

I worn uggs to the park for two trips and never had an issue. People don't realize uggs expand with time and don't get the correct size I don't shuffle when I walk with uggs.

If your foot is flopping then you got the wrong size. Uggs expand and you have to buy with that in mind. I wore Uggs to the park 2 trips and were super very confortable. Also another tip you can really wear any shoes you want to the park (except high heels) the trick is in the insole. Ask some experience hikers they change those all the time. Any pair of shoes can become super confortable. I do this with my toms. Uggs have change since they were establish in 1978, they have realized that most uggs are being worn in winter there are many waterproof models out there now. Although for the rain I wear rain boots, because I hate having wet feet.

Clothes - Comfortable: shorts, tank top, Go Walks

Make up - Always basic anyways...eye liner, cover cream (but put on sun screen on top anyways)

Hair - Down if wash it that morning. Hair clip if not (quick straightener for my bangs). Basically my usual routine anyways

Hair: side braid, ponytail, or messy bun (depends on my outfit)

Makeup: the usual (pressed powder, mascara, eyeliner, blush), plus a base layer of facial sunscreen (SPF 45 or better), and finished with Makeup Forever's Mist & Fix makeup setting spray.

Clothes: short sleeve tee or tank top, and shorts. Except this next trip I'll be Disneybounding (outfits inspired by Disney characters) so I'll mostly be in dresses with bike shorts underneath. I like this idea, since it's flowy and cool.

Footwear: My Spenco sandals (like orthotic insoles, but flip-flops), with a change of shoes in my bag (usually my running shoes).

Clothes - comfy capris and short sleeved shirt, sunglasses

Shoes - Crocs sandals or white tennis shoes

Hair - anti-frizz serum & blowdry straight for 2-3 minutes, bring hair elastic to pull back later if needed

Makeup - sunscreen, Estee Lauder Revitalizing Global moisturizer, Bobbi Brown CC Cream SPF 35, Maybelline Liquid Mousse foundation, Maybelline cream blush, Clinique colored lip balm, L'Oreal Million Lashes waterproof mascara on top lashes only (melts on the bottom lashes for me). I bring my foundation, blush and lip balm for touchups if staying at the park all day. I can do my makeup and hair in about 10 minutes for WDW.

I have the right size - length wise they are fine, they are just wide and I have a narrow foot. No changing that, no matter how many sizes down I go.

It's true that there are many waterproof models out there now, but I was only referring to the "classic" sheepskin Uggs. I have the Adirondacks now which are very waterproof but I'd look like a fool wearing them in the parks. The moccasins may be more acceptable. Either way, to each her own :thumbsup2

As for my hair, it depends on the weather. If it's hot I put it up wet in a bun with a little Frizz-Ease mousse. If it's cool and comfy....I leave it down...usually air dry...same mousse or maybe curl cream.

I wear tank tops and denim shorts in the warm weather and jeans and tees in the cooler weather. I like to layer as well. You never know when it's going to get warmer or vice versa.

I wear Nike FitSoles (I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis). Also, I always put BodyGlide on my feet with socks. Keeps blisters at bay. I tend to forget the makeup...it melts off anyway! If anything, lip gloss.

Another shoe I would suggest for non-park activities would be the Vionic Tide sandals. Good for shopping, going to eat, Downtown Disney, etc.

We go in the spring/summer and then in the fall so my clothes vary from season. I usually get my hair blown out the night before we leave and pin it up during shower/pool so I don't have to wash it during vacation. I have the kind of hair you only wash every 5 days or so anyways. I wear at a min. tinted moisturizer, mascara, eye liner, powder and lip gloss every day. Some days/nights I do full face makeup though.

Fall - toms, t-shirt, jeans/shorts, sweatshirt
Spring/Summer - reefs, t-shirt & shorts or sundress

I love how this thread shows the wide range of comfortable for different people. i get such a kick out of reading others say something like "I'm all about comfort at Disney", and then describe a shorts and tank top outfit or something else that would be so uncomfortable to me. :) Yay for diversity! Wear what YOU like and are most comfortable in, be that shorts, capris, skirts, pants, dresses, t shirts, tank tops, button down shirt, flip flops, sandals, athletic shoes or flats. :cool1:

Clothing - For touring during the day, I stick to Nike shorts and tanks. I alternate between my Brooks tennis shoes and my Keen sandals. Both are great. For evenings its usually a sundress.

Hair - I do a side braid and then put my hair into a tight bun. Easy and painless.

Makeup - I do moisturizer, Lorac foundation, mascara and lip gloss.

All pretty easy. ':)
