Ladies..........what is your clothing style?

I forgot to add,
what got me to thinking about this, is I am going to two luncheons with work in the coming months and will be meeting co workers I never see, so I want to look decent and not like a hillbilly. LOL

That's when I would pull out the basic tan/black skirt and a range of tops and jackets that mix and match, maybe one trendy accent piece (belt/scarf/chunky jewelry) and basic flats. Perfect for buisness lunches and will last through a multitude of "trends".

and where do you buy most of your clothes?

I think I have no style........LOL.........I used to, but I couldn't answer it now.
I would say the "look" of my clothes is LL Bean, Lands End type.

I don't think I have a style either. In high school I would have considered myself kind of trendy but classic. Now I try to completely bypass trends. I like Lands' End and LL Bean too. I also buy my clothes from JCPenney and Kohl's and Walmart, if there is something I like. I don't like to splurge on clothes because your weight can change.

I have no style. There have been times I watch "What not to Wear" and think "that's cute" or "I think I have that sweater" in the BEFORE segments.

Of course, I'm not sure a woman who looks like a skunk is really in the best place to give fashion advice.

I buy bermuda shorts from the Limited (or from ebay if I can find them) when they're having a good sale (I only wear bermuda shorts [well, with a shirt ;)] during the summer and summer dresses), I buy my jeans from Express (on ebay), I buy most of my shirts from Ann Taylor when they're having a 40 or 50% off sale, and my work pants/shirts from New York and Company. All of my stuff lasts forever, stays in style (I don't buy trendy things), and isn't very expensive if you buy when sales/free shipping happens or off of ebay. I only spend $100-$200 a year on clothes/shoes/accessories, if that.

Most of my clothes are pretty neutral and I have more colorful necklaces/bracelets/earrings if I feel like it.

Exactly. And at 9 (?) months pregnant, haha whatever fits... which is like, nothing! I seriously need a muumuu.

Well, I'm not 9 months pregnant lol, but I am a SAHM.

And no matter how many times What Not to Wear says it, I absolutely do NOT dress up (heels, suit, jewelry, make up, etc) to run errands or grocery shop.

Maybe women in LA or NYC do, but they sure don't here. :lmao:

I have no style on a day-to-day basis. I live in jeans or capris and tees/tanks, with Teva sandals in the summer and Sketchers or western boots in the winter. My husband calls it "Goth redneck" and finds it nothing short of hilarious that I pair Hot Topic type tops with my Wranglers and straw sunhat.

For dressier occasions, my style is kind of eclectic - mostly vintage/retro, sometimes leaning a little towards hippie, and once in a while more Victorian-Goth. It depends on the occasion and my mood when I'm out shopping.

I work in a large hardware store so unfortunately it's usually jeans and a t-shirt and tennis shoes. So when I'm not working I try to have a style. I like shopping at Old Navy (good for inexpensive basics like jeans and khakis), Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 for the trendier stuff since it's inexpensive. In the summer I like wearing gladiator sandals, flowy tops and bermuda shorts. In the fall/winter I like wearing skinny jeans tucked into high boots with fitted sweaters.

I dress as if I work at Eddie Bauer. Probably 90% of my stuff is from there.

My style is pretty preppy. I have a lot of J.Crew, Gap (I used to work there and get a great discount), Polo, etc. If I'm just hanging around, going to class or running errands I generally wear jeans and a nice top. If it's something dressier, I am big on dresses. I always wear flats- I own only one pair of heels. Most of the time they are ballet flats or tennis shoes.

I like to look nice but I'm not overly into fashion. I buy pretty classic clothes that mix and match easily because I hate picking outfits out in the morning!

I'm almost always wearing jeans, a tshirt, black socks and black Converse. If it's fall or winter, I have a hoody on. I've been kind of digging the twirly/hippy-ish cottons skirts that are out right now though, so I've worn those a little bit this summer with tanks and flip flops.

All of my clothes come from pretty much the same few places.. Old Navy, American Eagle, or the Gap. I get any jewelry I wear from LOFT, and if I need a dress for any reason, I head to LOFT for that, too. I have a good chunk of clothes from Nordstrom, too, as I used to work there and the discount was awesome - but don't wear it much anymore as it's mostly dress clothes.

My style? Basic+funky- let me explain. I wear jeans or khaki capris and black t-shirts. I have a zillion black shirts, but they are all a little different- different necklines, tiny pockets, etc. For casual dress up, I'll wear a dark denim skirt, black top, and leopard ballet flats or something like that. I like funky jewelry and snazz up my basic stuff with fun accessories.

I'm very casual especially in the summer; shorts and either tank tops or t-shirts.

Extremely casual.. You could call me the "$1.95 Beauty Show" - LOL.. Garage sales and thrift stores are my choice of shopping.. Aside from undergarments, you nearly have to break my arm to get me to buy anything "new" from a store..;)

My husband calls me Elvira-Mom. I have long, thick dark hair, and I wear a lot of black. Most of my tops are black, this is true. But, this is because black is slimming and goes with anything.

I'm pear shaped so I wear mostly skirts, a-line and just below the knee. Nobody needs to see anything that's going on above my knees! I shop mostly at TJMaxx, Gap and Macy's.

For any of ya'll with junk in the trunk like me... the Gap has "curvy" jeans that are simply amazing. They are so comfy, I bought three pair. :)

I only wear BLACK so if I was a teenager I guess I'd be GOTH! :lmao:

I've never OWNED a pair of jeans and never wear dresses or skirts. I guess I'm most comfortable in business casual.

Jeans (or shorts), T-shirts for the most part, though I will wear dresses occasionally. Once in awhile, I'll wear a pants suit!

Very casual. I like fitted t-shirts, jeans, jean shorts, converses and flip flops. Occasionally, I'll wear some girly clothes-- especially to school. I shop at the Loft, Old Navy, Target, and Wal-Mart. :)
