I'm trying to decide on whether to go super casual and do yoga pants/Nike running shorts with tees all week or should I pack a few sundresses with some light sweaters if it gets chilly...we are going in October.

Opinions?!?!

Wear whatever you're comfortable in! I usually do shorts and a comfy T-shirt/sweater.

I would take a couple of light sweaters just in case because some of the air-con places can get a little chilly, especially after water rides or if the weather is a bit cooler. I like to mix it up and take a sundress or two if I'm going for dinner anywhere nice on property (or off) but for the days I'm in the parks I wear whatever is most comfortable, especially if the weather is on the warmer side

Shorts/capris with tees in the spring/summer/early fall ... jeans/capris with a lightweight jacket after dark in the late fall/winter.

Like A11ie said ... wear what's comfortable for you.

For me, its a balance of being comfortable and looking good for the pictures. Disney vacations are very special, and I know I'll be framing the pictures and looking at them for years.

I like athletic/active style fabrics for my pants, skorts, capris, etc. LL Bean and Eddie Bauer make great stuff that is stretchy, repels moisture or dries easily. Things that are meant for hiking and such adventures suit me well for Disney. I spilled a Coke on my tan pants, but it brushed off and with a quick rinse of water they were like new. This also allows me to re-wear things (but we don't go in the hot summer so this is OK for us).

I like skorts for a mix of what you describe-- looking like a skirt but comfort of athletic shorts. And coverage for getting in and out of rides.

We go in September when it is very hot, all the time. I wear sundresses exclusively because they are easy to pack and I like wearing dresses. Also, our Disney trips are the only time we get family photos so I like to look cute. I've taken up running over the summer and it's going to be hard to not just pack comfy running clothes on our upcoming trip, though - I may have a different answer in 6 weeks!

What's most comfortable for you is what's best!

In the heat I like to wear capris and a t shirt. I find wearing shorts to be uncomfortable going in and out of ac and also, when walking around in the FL sun all day I prefer to be a bit more covered up. I had a skin cancer removed from my calf a few years ago so now I always look to avoid sun exposure whenever I can. Also, I like to have a few pockets so I can go bag free when I'm not toting my camera bag around and I have a few pairs of capris that have the deep side pockets that button closed - perfect for cc's, my phone, a small tube of sunblock and a lipgloss! At night I like a casual dress or skorts.

This December I'm not sure what to plan for! When we visited once in early March it was cool in the morning and after sundown but hot in the afternoons so I'm expecting something similar to that. If that proves to be true, I'll still wear capris and tshirts but will have a variety of jackets/sweaters to choose from depending on the weather and I'll also bring a pair of jeans and a hat/gloves in case the forecast calls for really low temps.

If it's warm, I'll wear shorts with a tank/tee. If it's cooler, I'll wear jeans with a t-shirt. If it's cooler, I'll also take a light jacket with me.

Yeah... I'm a little vain so I do try to dress up a little bit for the parks. I also HATE carrying stuff around with me so I try to minimize carrying sweaters and things. Instead of yoga pants, for example, I'll wear leggings with a tunic top. If I wear sundresses, they are usually casual, go to about my knee (for getting on and off rides!) and I usually wear cotton bike-type shorts or capri leggings underneath to prevent the dreaded chub rub. My favorites are tee-shirt like dresses with short sleeves--I'm usually warm enough in them when we go inside but cool enough in the hotter weather. If I go back to the room to change at night, I'll change into jeans and a sightly dressier shirt or tank top. For shoes I will wear broken in flats, sandals, or flat dressy-style Crocs or boat shoes. (I also walk a lot at home so these are shoes I've walked in a lot.) I also prefer wristlets to cross-body bags, and luckily can carry most things I need in one. I'll bring band-aids just in case I get a blister, but I haven't gotten one in a long time at WDW. My sisters on the other hand... have.

One of us dressed like this-- no big deal. Me and two other sisters dressed like this? We've gotten some comments. Not the norm at all, but living in NYC I'm used to kind of dressing up for a long day.

For me, sneakers are mandatory for long park days. So I go with casual short outfits with sneakers during park days and sundresses/ sandals for the shorter trips back to the park at night.

Shorts or knee length skirts/sundresses usually. T-shirts or tanks if it is really hot, sneakers with low socks and I usually have a long sleeve in the backpack if we will be there after dark. I never wear yoga pants in public personally - I have a very shapely and er... well endowed... rear so I am uncomfortable in skin tight pants.. :)

What is "chub rub"?

Yup, some comfy shorts and light weight shirts work perfect for me! never need a sweater because I'm right in the middle of that "old lady" thing! ALWAYS HOT! lol! I think the most important thing for me is comfy shoes!

I wear t-shirts and cotton A-line skirts with leggings or athletic shorts underneath. Comfortable but cute.

The endless conundrum! I typically do denim shorts with a t-shirt/tank top. I'll be breaking in my Reef Cushion flip flops this trip - I tried sneakers on our last trip (in June) and it was just way too hot on my feet, I couldn't stand it. I did enjoy sneakers more in October though, but overall I do like how I look more in flip flops.

I like to throw in a dress or two if we have a nice meal planned, but for the most part dresses = work clothes (especially this time of the year) so I like to give a little mileage to the clothes I don't get to wear as often. I always, always pack a hooded sweatshirt, and (in our trip last fall) grabbed it during our midday break for the afternoon/evenings

It's still hotter than Hades in Orlando through most of October. Over Columbus Day weekend last year there were record highs and the heat index was over 100. I have sundresses from Athleta in a moisture wicking fabric with SPF that I wear in the heat. I find that dresses are the most comfortable thing to walk around in, considering they provide more ventilation.

I wear a lot of lululemon workout apparel with nice running shoes. Comfort! October can still be 80's a lot of the time. Maybe bring 1 or 2 light sweaters for late nights.

If it's warm out, I usually wear denim shorts (or running shorts) and a cute Disney shirt.

When it's cooler out, I wear jeans and a nice shirt or a light sweater.
