Ladies, what are you getting your significant other for Christmas?

I am getting DH a PDA but he doesn't know it he thinks we are not exchanging this year.

We are planing 2 big vacations this year so there will not be any gift exchanging.

In February we are taking our 2 oldest Grandchildren to Florida for 10 days.

In September we are planning a 15 day trip to Italy.

I'm sure I'll get him something small like a book or something, he loves to reading.

I always stress out over what to get DH. This year he circled everything he wanted out of the Cabela's catalogue so I ordered everything on line and know that he will be thrilled!

SO is hard to shop for and this year we are getting a dog for each other and going down to FL for christmas so we are not doing anything really "BIG". If he could have anything it would be a corvette, but since that isn't in the budget at the moment (or any nearby moments ) this is what I have so far for him.

2 new suits
various dress shirts
various ties
leather sportscoat
wool topcoat
electric sander
various other tool related items
3 playstation 2 games
Bop It 2 (don't ask me, he said he wanted it )
professional dj mixing board with computer software to go with it (I am not sure what you really call these things)
Broadway Musicals cds

He is also getting an Xbox from my mother so I might get him some games to go along with that.

Funny you should mention the Movado watch Laurabearz. SO would really like one but he rarely wears any of the watches he currently owns and he isn't very careful with his stuff (he takes his watch off at restaurants and while working) so I am afraid he might lose it or otherwise damage it, and $1995.00 for the one he was looking at in the store seems a little high. I might get him the fossil one that is about $95 that looks very similar and has a small diamond in the top.

He also wants a Dell Axiom 5, but I have flat out said no to that. He has a PDA that is less than one year old and was twice as much as the Dell, and he has used it a grand total of about 5 times in this whole year. I refuse to buy him another one so it can just sit around gathering dust. He keeps talking about it though and I think he thinks I will buy it for him because he wants it so badly, but I won't. I'm mean aren't I.

That's EXACTLY my problem!! He's taking me to NY for my birthday and we're celebrating the birthday and Christmas at the same time. I told him that the trip was enough for me, but he insists that he is still getting me a birthday and Christmas gifts!! I have NOOOOOOOOO idea on what to get him, he downloads all his music off of the comp, I could get him DVDs, but I want other ideas as well. Tools, well, he just doesn't need any right now...I guess I'll have to go with clothing...but it seems so boring. Keep the suggestions coming, pleeaaase!!

DH has been suffering from "blower envy" lately!!

Our neighbor got a gas powered leaf blower and now DH wants one too. Since we have soooo many leaves, oaks and pin oaks, he really does need it but by the time he gets it the leaves will all be raked and composted!

He is also getting a vacation in Santa Fe and Vail - 10 whole days of peace and snow!!

we've set a limit on each other for christmas this year...i've only just started, but here's what i have so far...

a 4 pack of black and decker power tools (sander, jigsaw, screwdriver, and drill)
a grumpy sweatshirt from TDS he really wanted
a grumpy coffee "to go" mug
flannel pj pants


that's all i have so far...i know, not much...but i plan to get him the lord of the rings special edition too. i'll probably pick up some clothing of some sorts and dvd's...i am trying to locate a kansas city chiefs hat for him...he's a HUGE chiefs fan and we can't find anything here in town. of course not, why would you find anything for another team besides the indy colts?

I got my fiance tickets to see Cirque du Soleil when it comes to Atlanta because he really loves Cirque. He's going to be thrilled! I also got him a plane ticket so he can go with my family when we visit my aunt, uncle, and baby cousin in Texas in January.

We prefer to travel so any monies are put towards that. We have 3 big vacations planned for next year already so anything else would be a bit much.
