Can we talk about bras ? :scared1:

Sorry, fellas, gotta leave you out of this one !:rotfl2:
Can anyone recommend a super comfy, non binding, non itchy, non chafing bra? I HATE wearing bras and wear them only when wearing something that's see through or clingy. I also have sensitive skin and can't wear lacy bras. I don't want my girls to be bouncing around on our Disney vacation. What's your recommendation for the ultimate bra that even the most die hard bra hater can wear comfortably all day?
I hope I don't get banned for starting this thread. ;)

I absolutely LOVE victoria secret bras.. Thats the only thing I buy... Try going to VS and ask the professionals... They will get you one that will suit the best for you

I usually wear a sports bra when I do the parks. They are light and supportive for the girls. :rolleyes1

I know what you mean...we've gone during some of the warmer times of the year and I hate it...uncomfortable. I also cannot wear lacy bras, which are extremely irritating for my skin.
I've tried VS bra's, however I don't find that their thinner straps are supportive enough for my girls and I've tried several of their styles.

Last year I discovered sports bra's with underwire (which my girls desperately need to lift and separate, otherwise it's just a lump  ) to use while vacationing. I'm sure I'll be bringing those along for the trip in Dec. They provide the needed support and a softer material than regular bra's.

Bali Double Support. No wires, substantial straps, good support on the sides. I've been wearing it for years. It comes in a regular style, a lace style (which you may not want, but you can't feel the lace and it has the gel/spa closure), and cotton.

La Senza is a store that is along the idea of VS but I think they've removed most if not all of their stores from the US. (They still have them in Canada.) But they have some bras that have a wire and padding to give enough support but the straps can be switched so that the bra is a racer back style, I found this hold things in place well. They do sell lacey ones but they sell plain ones too in lots of basic & fun colors.

My other favorite bras are the under armour sports bras. If it was practical I'd wear that with everything.

If you're not going for anything sexy, Olga bras with the contoured padded straps... they're a gift from heaven. :wizard: They look like granny bras, but they are wonderful!

Speaking of, I should pick another up!

OT- Poppinspal- where did you get the Darth Vader icon?? That's *SO* DF!!!

My mom swears by Breezies. They have a lining that wicks away moisture. I haven't bought one yet, but she loves them.

You can find them at QVC; they have a lot of styles.

For the "plus size" girls out there I would recommend Lane Bryant's Balconette bra. It's comfy and keeps them up where I wish they were! I run around schlepping all day and I don't want to tear it off and burn it. :thumbsup2

I swear by VS, too. I especially like the racer back ones. They feel more supportive and the straps don't slip.

I also prefer the VS but after having my 3 rd kiddo, the girls well...they have moved to a lower floor if you will and I'm also looking for something that will lift, seperate, support and not make me want to rip it off by the middle of the day.

I've been wearing sports bras mostly now days, they are comfy and the straps are wider and more comfortable as well. But still dealing with the seperation issue... ;)

I read on a different thread to use body glide or solid anti-perspirant under the girls to prevent chafing as well. I've tried it in the humidity that is Illinois and found it to be very helpful!

It's one of the DIS smiles. When you're looking at the big box of smiles hit the more button and thats where I got it!

The most important thing is FIT! Go somewhere with trained professional bra fitters. Something like 85% of women wear the wrong size bra.

As a general rule...

Measure under your breasts snugly, but not tight. (Measurement #1) Add five inches, this is your band size. If you have an odd number, round up (Such as 32, 36, 42, etc.)

Then measure around the fullest part of your breasts, not tight. (Measurement #2)

Subtract M#1 from M#2. One inch is A, two is B, three is C, four is D, five is DD. six is F.

Do the measuring while wearing your best fitting bra and use it only as a guide. Depending on the manufacturer and type of bra, your size will vary.

HI Girls! My Disney bra is the vogue sports bra that does up in the back. It is all cotton and no lace or other frills. I am wearing it today as well but I don't do disney with it!! Comes in white, black and beige. I bought mine at Sears in Can, but I am sure you can get them in the States. GOOD LUCK
