Anyone have any recommendations for concealing those dark circles?

i use a little concealer, but not too white looking.:D You know when women use too much, they look so weird!:earseek:

I use concealer as well, it works really well for me on the nights that I don't get enough sleep :) I like MAC ... you can return their products for a refund if they don't work out for you.

If you try a different color eg lavender, green, or yellow for some reason it really helps and you can not tell you are wearing it. Circles be gone!

I also use a yellow concealer and it really works. Never ever use white.

If you get this month's Real Simple magazine, there is an article on concealers and how to use them.

Real Simple is my favorite magazine! It is a great article on concealers and how to use them. The ones tinted with yellow really do counteract the darkness. My dark circles are more "blue" looking because of the thin skin and the veins being so close to the skin instead of darkness like a shadow. W/O concealer, I look like someone gave me a black eye! :o

I was reading an article on what to do if you've only had 3 hours sleep to get rid of the dark circles/baggy eyes and it said that slices of unpeeled raw potato works well!!

No, I haven't tried it yet :) !

I'll have to get an issue of Real Simple magazine. I never heard of it before. You sure can learn alot of the DIS.:D

I too use a yellow one and just love it! It's by Benefit cosmetics and called "Lemon Aid." It works perfectly!

I use clinique concealer which is a brush that the liquid comes out of so you do not get too much out at once. I also use cliniques cream for dark circles twice a day. That seems to do the trick.

Ok, I know this sounds weird but sometimes dark eye circles
are a result of over active yeast in one's body. Cut out sugar,
dairy and start taking acidolpholus. It worked for my sister and
for my BIL on the other side of the family. Also, increase rest a
bit. A girlfriend went to an allergist for something else. She eliminated some food allergens-chocolate, caffeine and some other things that were causing headaches and the dark circles
under her eyes went away. Interesting, eh?

I am Italian so I have very dark circles under my eyes and yellow seems to work the best for me. I have used white and medium, but the yellow seems to work the best!

A long time ago I had a "makeover" and they used green on me. I am Italian with a bit of Native American blood so I have very odd coloring and very dark circles.

I never used it again, but it worked for that one day.

Keep in mind that for some of us nothing will work--my skin under my eyes is very thin and my veins are prominent, so it's not fatigue, it's just my veins. I always look tired. I bet even "extreme makeover" would be stumped.

:( :( Chocolate???? I have always had dark under circles and could never get them to go away, and I have always eaten LOTS of chocolate...........hmmmmmmm!! Maybe there is a connection!!::yes::

Shortbun,
I remember many years ago a lady doctor being on Phil Donahue and one of the things she talked about was this exact thing!

Like RocknRobin, nothing makes mine disappear but the yellow does help quite a bit. I use Lauren Hutten's Face Disc in medium for mine. Great product.

Nothing works for me either, I just use Avon concealer and the trick is to pat it on, don't rub!

Another one who uses a yellow concealer. I use "complexion corrector" in yellow. Don't know the band, I got it at a beauty supply shop. It looks like a lipstick. I also have green to cut down on the lovely redness of zits.
