I am searching for a really good heavy-weight ribbed tank top. Not just for summer, because I live in these things! Sometimes underneath layers in Winter.

I am wanting one that is ribbed and stretchy. A cotton, woven with something like nylon spandex. I like them to fit more snug to the body. But def. not the athletic stretchy poly/nylon fabric. Not what you would call 'compression'.

I have bought the WalMart tanks. But, now they have gotten so thin.

I have even looked online at the upscale designer department stores. But I am not sure I am seeing what I am looking for.

do any of you girls know where I might find such a thing?

Have you tried flexees. They are like Spanx but a bit heavier and ver slimming. You can wear it with or without a tshirt. I also like yummies.

My summer wardrobe is basically tank tops.

Have you looked at Belk?

I also used to really liked the ribbed tanks from JC Penney's. However, our local Penney's closed, so, now, if I'm mall-shopping, I usually end up at Belk.

Thanks!
I will check Penney's.
Ours is still open! An hour from home... Maybe this weekend. I actually recently bought a breezy summer top there.
I am trying to remember what the name/brand on their casual clothes might be?

I LOVE everything I have purchased from Grace and Lace.
The perfect fit collection has a few types of tanks that are amazing. Wear well wash well don't fade or get baggy. Excellent alone or for layering.
I heart many things from here.

I live in tank tops as well. It's my age.

My favorite is the Cami layering tank from Eddie Bauer but it is not ribbed and has skinny straps.

For ribbed, I like the Ana ribbed tank from JcPenney

I only buy Land's End tanks.....not sure if they have ribbed ones but I buy their solid color tanks and turtlenecks and love them.

I think it's St. John's Bay.

If you have a Belk, check there too! I bought a pink ribbed tank top at Belk last year. I've bought several other tanks there as well - just not ribbed.

I second Belk. Their in store brand is Kim Rogers and they make a mostly cotton tank with just a little Lycra. You can buy them online if you don't have a Belk close by.

All of the mossimo I have, including the one I am wearing now are very thin. I only wear them under other things.

They used to be great, but every one I have tried in the last few years is see-through. I have a large chest and you can always see my bra (even if its skin toned) because there's light shining through the upper portion of the shirt. (Basically even though the neckline is high enough to cover, you can completely see my cleavage because the shirt is so thin.)

I like the length and fit, but I live in the south and want a tank top that can be worn alone without the sunshine revealing everything.

I don't have a large chest at all, and you can see my bra through most of them also.

Just saw a commercial for the Duluth Trading Company women's No-Yank Tanks.

I give up-I tried to post the link but it's not working.

Try Nordstrom. I only shop their sales because they're way pricier than I like to spend. I follow a blogger called Schaefer Told Me To. She posts a lot of cute things and always highlights sales and markdowns. I've gotten gorgeous dresses from Nordstrom for $32 bucks and I get tons of compliments thanks to her suggestions. I need inspiration to shop, lol! The quality of their clothes can't be better!
