If you wear straight legs jeans, what kind of shoes, do you think looks good with them. The past few years, I've wore flare leg or boot cut jeans. I was thinking about getting some straight leg jeans. Any fashion tips would be helpful. TIA.

Depends on your body type/size in my opinion. If you are talking about jeans that sit at your waist and taper at the ankle..........don't please!

If you are talking about fashionable straight-leg (I assume you are not talking about "skinny" leg jeans?) then flats, like ballet flats.

What's wrong with skinny jeans? That's what's in now.

I wear only two kinds of shoes with my skinny/slim jeans: ballet/flats and boots that go over the jean. I don't like true "skinny" jeans (where they're tight all the way to your ankle) but prefer a straight slim jean (like Express' Stella jeans :lovestruc) where they're fitted on the leg and then do a very slight flare at the ankle. Just say No to tapered jeans ;).

It doesn't matter what's in. Not everyone looks good in them. I agree with the PP. Take a good, assessing look in the mirror and be honest about whether you have the body for them. Not everyone does.

And, unless you are a pirate, NO ONE should wear tapered, peg-leg jeans. :sad2:

They are actually cut that way so manufacturers can save money and material. They can fit two pairs of pants across a width of fabric by tapering the legs and flipping over the other pants, so that waist (which is wider) is lying next to the skinnier ankle of the other pair. It isn't about looks or style. It's about saving money.

I was clarifying whether she meant true straight leg or was talking about skinny leg.

True straight leg is basically gonna be the same width at the top of the thigh as it is at the ankle. It's not a very flattering look for most people. Yes, skinny is "in" now........and unless you are model-thin with basically boyish hips, then.......

The most universally flattering jean IS a bootcut. It flatters and works for ALL body types.

OP, in the summer I wear an open toe, kind of sandal"ish" heel with my jeans when I go out. For the daytime, I usually wear flip-flops. In the fall and winter I wear boots with a heel for going out at night. Most of my jeans are boot-cut but I do have a couple of skinny jeans that I'll wear with the boots over the jeans. I also advise you to make sure that your jeans are long enough-I hate too short jeans. I find 'mom jeans' and too short seem to go hand in hand:lmao::lmao:

Basically everything looks good with them. I live in Florida but I wear flip-flops with them, flats, uggs, etc..

I love heels with my straightlegs.

I don't think skinny jeans are flattering if you have large hips (like I do).

To answer your question, I think ballet type flats or boots.
