Ladies, Pregnancy question..Update on pg 3

One of the tip-offs for me was crying at the drop of a hat. I remember watching the movie Hook, bawling my eyes out, and wondering what the heck was wrong with me. It all made sense a week later when I took the test.

My chest started hurting right away - like the moment after conception. It got progressively worse for a couple of weeks. I was also exhausted.

I always had vertigo. I don't think ankle swelling this early is a symptom, and if you are on the pill, and have AF, you are probably not pregnant. Just pee on a stick!

For me it was reflux, heartburn, and nausea. I never have any of those problems unless I am pregnant. Those were soon followed by weepiness (every news story would make me cry) and sore breasts. Shortly after that the exhaustion struck. My ankles didn't even swell at the end of my pregnancies.

Well, I found out early, as we were trying and I had missed a period, took the test a week after it was supposed to start and got a positive result. My very first symptom was the "girls" were very sore, that happened before I took the test. After that I was exhausted all the time, and hungry all the time to the point of feeling sick if I didn't eat.

I was walking around 3 miles a day and one day I noticed that I was crazy out of breath after only a half mile - that's when I started to think that something was up.
That, and like everyone else said, exhaustion. But the pill made me tired too so I didn't think much of it.

Really sore breasts and hige blue veins running through them, especially my nipples.

I don't think your ankles would be swelling already. That just sounds way to early. I have a lot of swelling this time and mine did not start until 6 months or so.

With DS we were trying and on medication, so I started testing at about nine days after ovulation (too early). I kept waking up in the middle of the night to pee, not normal for me. I didn't get a positive test until fifteen DPO.

With our twins (  ), I had gone Christmas shopping with my sister. I bumped my b**b and thought "Holy cow, that hurt! It was like when I was pregnant......OMG!" I went home and found a test, it was positive right away. I went to the doctor the next few days and had an ultra sound - I think I was between four and five weeks, so not far along at all!

I took the test a day or two after my "missed" period, so I took it really early. The only symptom I had was CRAVING seafood. I couldn't get my mind off of it. Swollen ankles didn't come until the 8th month or so.

Thanks for all your help... My "girls" are sore like it hurts to put a bra on... I could sleep all the time, but I just finished school and I think I might be catching up on sleep.... I will do as you all suggested and take a test, I will also check my BP.... thanks again

I hope you get your answer soon. My first symptom was, of course, no visit from Aunt Flo. That prompted me to take the test. Soon after I found out, my symptoms were massive sleepiness and having to go to the bathroom all the time. I didn't have a lot of morning sickness, but that's a common symptom early on.

Swelling and reflux don't usually kick in until much later in pregnancy, so I wouldn't think you're pregnant. Especially since you're on the pill and getting periods.

With my 1st it was exhaustion and waking up overnight to pee, with the 2nd I had no signs at all but a missed period, and this time it was reflux, which I NEVER get and did not get with either of the other 2 kids till I was 7-8 months, and nausea. With all of them I had bad, bad morning sickness that kicked in super early, but in the absence of that, there wasn't really anything too noticable.

ETA: I had insane swelling with my 1st, but not till at least 6 months. I don't think it's common to start off with swelling so I would think that would be a separate issue.

Update... my swelling has gone down... I will probably take a test in the AM just to be sure because I am going to WDW on Sunday and I want to ride all the rides.. and I will also be celebrating my college graduation... thanks again and I will keep you posted....
