Ladies.... Park attire?

:) I am a 2x and wear dresses and skorts almost exclusively at WDW. At 5'4" and 220# I need to have mobility and air. I wear the Sport Savvy/ Denim & Co polo dresses that hit just above the knee and also Issac Mizrahi t-shirt dresses from QVC...for those pooh sized girls looking for a cute dress.

I also always wear a bra liner with powder.

What's a bra liner?

I'll be travelling in September so know it will be warm! I'm a dress and skirt girl, but is this too impractical for the parks and ride? Should I just stick to shorts and go out and buy a load? (We're there for 18 days!)
What do you wear in the parks normally?
Oh and shoes of course (can't forget the shoes!) what would you suggest? Vans, converse, sandals?
Thanks!!

skirts/dresses are fine - just make sure they are lightweight but not see-thru in the bright Floridian sun, non-constricting (avoid belts, heavy ornamentation), have coverage that won't get "places that haven't seen the sun in years" burnt (watch out for cutout and "lacy" styles - we've seen many a patterned, painful sunburn), and long enough to make movement comfortable. i wear mostly lightweight shorts with tanks, and an occasional dress (nighttime) or yoga pant (if it's a bit cold).
imho, skip the converse and vans - neither have enough arch support, and will likely cause blisters unless you add socks.
i've tried just about every type of footwear (regular flip-flops, water shoes, crocs, various sneakers, fit-flops, etc), and teva mush flip-flops won for comfort, great arch support, and no blisters :thumbsup2 they have cute wedge styles that are really comfy too.

try to bring a lightweight sweater or two (neutral, so it will go with most outfits) as the AC is usually on super-high on rides, as well as in restaurants, and stores.
:)

Last September I wore a dress on our trip everyday. Just t-shirt type dresses, very casual, but I find them to be much cooler and comfortable than shorts. They are knee length or just above so I don't worry too much about a 'wardrobe malfunction'.

Normally, I wear shorts in the parks. Unfortunately, with some weight gain, I don't own shorts that I could wear. However, I can still fit into a couple of dresses and skirts that are quick drying types that should be appropriate for rainy days in WDW and water rides (Kali). So I wore a dress and a skirt for the first time on this past trip, last weekend. LOVED it!

My dress was right at the knee and not too full, so I didn't bother with anything underneath. It had a built-in bra. I was SO COMFORTABLE. And let me tell you...using the potty was WAY faster and easier too.

My skirt was fuller and shorter, but super lightweight nylon...so I decided to wear some undershorts that are made for wearing under a tennis skirt. I actually felt like I moved better in my skirt and my dress.

The skirt was an Athleta brand, very sporty, and based on our touring plans, I wore trail runners. With the dress, I wore Tevas. I will always bring a variety of shoes that work to mix up not only for more walking v. wet...but also for my own comfort, I don't enjoy wearing the same shoes all the time.
