OK Ladies. Let's hear it. Would this dress be OK to wear to Jiko? It's simple, plain and it's actually from the resort collection from Newport News (newport-news.com). I always buy my clothes from newport news and saw this and I think it could work for Jiko, but not sure :confused3 What do you think? It comes in other colors, but the blue color is what I would go with. TIA!!

EDIT TO ADD: I went ahead and ordered the dress. Now I have to think about shoes. What do you think about the Prima crocs in a white color to go with this dress? Click here to see a pic of the shoes

I really think that's a perfect choice! Not to casual, not too dressy - and the color is very fun!!! Good choice!!:thumbsup2

Absolutely! Know what I bought the other day for our trip? Skorts! In all different colors and prints. I'll feel feminine, look cute, be a bit more dressed up than if I were wearing shorts and I won't have to worry about the "peek a boo" of a skirt! They're all on sale at Kohl's BOGO this week or you can buy online for a little more. Just too cute!

That's all I wear in the summer. Look cute and my FAT LEGS don't look like sausages!

to the OP - dress is adorable. It'll be fine and wish I could wear it!!!

Thanks all. I went ahead and ordered it. Now I have to think about shoes!! Do you think the Prima crocs in a white color would look OK with that dress. I wont be wearing any socks or panty hose so I think that maybe the Prima crocs would look ok with that dress? If not, what would you suggest? I dont want any high heels. I just want a ballet style type shoe.

I wanna go with a white color for 1 - white goes with anything and 2 I can wear those shoes after our trip with anything I have.

Now I really don't like Crocs but I have never seen those ballet style ones! Are they really that comfy? I really hate walking in flats and always wear some kind of little wedge or something (too many years of wearing Candies in the discos!!!! lol)

I have the Disney (mickey heads) ones and DH just has the regular beach ones and we both love ours. I am just the other way around then you. You hate flats, and I LOVE flats. I cant stand heels or wedges or anything that has some sort of heel to it. My shoes needs to be flat!

Perfect-amundo.

Yes, there is a dress code. There are a couple other TS places that have a dress code as well. Here is the info:

For the Signature Dining Restaurants, a "Business Casual" dress code is in effect:

Men - Dress pants, jeans or dress shorts and a T-shirt or long sleeve shirt with collar is required. (Jackets optional.)

Women - Jeans, skirts or dress shorts and blouse, sweater or dress is required.

NOT PERMITTED: Tank tops, swim suits or swim cover ups, hats for gentlemen, cut offs or clothing with rips/tears are not allowed. T-shirts with offensive language/graphics will also not be permitted.

The Signature Restaurants are:

Artist Point, Bistro de Paris, California Grill, Citrico's, Citrico's Chef's Domaine, Flying Fish, Fulton's Crab House, Il Mulino, Jiko's, Narcoossee's, Portobello Yacht Club, Shula's, Todd English's bluezoo, Wolfgang Puck Dining Room and Yachtsmen Steakhouse.

do you have to dress up for JIKO??

The only problem I see with that dress is that I showed it to DW and now she wants one! She gives you "two Fonzies" on the dress and shoes!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: SORRY!! Didnt mean to start a trend!! :lmao: :lmao: Tell her if she wants it, to grab it tonight. She can use a 25% discount code to save even more money on the dress on top of the sale price. The discount code ends at midnight though. My total including shipping came to $14.44. But still $10 for that dress without the extra discount code isnt bad at all. The discount code is 695. All she has to do is enter it in the promotion code box during checkout and thats it. :thumbsup2

As for the shoes I found a free shipping code online, so I figured I would go ahead and use the free shipping code (saved myself almost $10!) and order them and just did that a few minutes ago! :thumbsup2

I think the dress is fine and the shoes are cute. I'm sure you will be better dressed than many other people.

Have fun.
