There's only one thing worse than a man that's not handy, one who isn't but thinks he is!!! My sympathies!! Keep the phone book handy!

Sorry Sheri, can't sympathize, my husband is good at do it yourself.
Is he really that bad? maybe he will suprise you. :D

Send the stuff my way, I could use them. :D

My DH requests that his gifts come from Home Depot or the tool department at Sears.

He bought my main gift (an electric heater) at a place called Harbor Freight Tools.

You have my sympathy

of course es you know anything chris messes up you can just ask and i'll talk you through fixing it:) either that or he may surprise ya and turn out to be really cratfy and handy and you'll have all this neat stuff he built for ya:) mrs frog thought i was nuts whn i brought home a wood lathe and a bunch of carving chisels,,, now shes waiting to see what i make next:) she used to ( when i worked for other carpenters) tell me i was crazy for buying up tools all the time, now that we are self employed and those tools are paying the bills most of the time,,, shes even taken to buying them for herself:) she went last yaer and bought a laminate router, a new air compressor and a third nail gun, a new circular saw, 2 jigsaws, and a pair of tool sets that had all the ones we regularly use on service calls in one box:) she even at one time refused to mix my power tools with hers and even bought a tool box for her truck to keep hers in:)

Actually there is one thing worse...one who IS handy and starts project after project without finishing what is started...it's living on a perpetual construction site...without the hardhat to protect you

wanna borrow my hard hats? i have afew extras:)

btw i started on our kitchen several months prior to the wreck,,, guess whats still not finished :)

Ohhhhhhhh DH got those last year - he has this black and decker power screwdriver, drill, tape measure, flashlight thing - I started finding little drill holes in everything  He bought the lazer level for painting the girls room :earseek: I sent him to the store for one thing and he came home with that! You have my deepest sympathy and total understanding!! DH is a computer geek, he is not at all handy, but I love him anyway

Hmmm...that sounds like my husband! That is my biggest pet peeve~

Wait, are you upset because you didn't get the tools? I got a wet saw to do my tile backsplash project (because, of course, I designed a backsplash with a billion cuts). DH knows he is not allowed to play with my tools without permission. Maybe I will get him an electric screwdriver so he feels better. :)
My kitchen is a disaster right now but I have no one to blame but myself. I'm hoping to have it back together before 2005.

Prayers are on the way! LOL...
Is your homeowner's updated & paid up??

Hmm... On the other hand,
maybe you & Monty Dog could play a "special" game of fetch??
Ya know, instead of him finding a tool, err - I mean "stick",
he could lose it??

Maybe it was a way to give you some extra presents. I gather your husband isn't handy, but are you? My husband is totally unhandy. I have installed all the ceiling fans, replaced light fixtures, done a variety of plumbing repairs around the house over the years. My brother and SIL gave my son a bird house kit for Christmas and made a comment that "Daddy and you can put that together" and I'm like, sure, as soon as Daddy learns to read directions and hold a hammer.
