Ladies, I need your help finding a new long lasting lipstick

I have used Maybelline's 14 Hour Super Stay lipstick for a few years now, but it is no longer available. It goes on like a regular lipstick, doesn't dry out my lips, and truly lasts for hours. I usually will touch up after lunch, but that's it. (And even then, when I check after lunch it may have faded just a bit but the coverage is still good.) I have no desire to touch up every couple of hours like lots of ladies do. I used to use the kind that came with a "paint" side and a "gloss" side - those really DO dry out your lips and you have to keep using the gloss throughout the day. Plus they're a pain to remove at the end of the day, so I'm not interested in going back to that type.

Do you use a regular tube lipstick that really does last a long time and doesn't dry out your lips? I am willing to buy from a department store type brand, I just don't even know where to start. Every time I have to go hunting for lipstick again I spent way too much money buying lots of different products until I find something that will work.

Thank you!!!

My dd has marc jacobs lipstick and it lasts all day, even when she eats. It's expensive, though.

I really like the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stains. They're crayon-type so super easy to apply, a balm so actually moisturising and stay on really well. If I ever neglect to take my makeup off then the lipstick is still on the next morning (well over 12 hours after last application).

The matte and lacquer balms look the same but don't stay on nearly as well, so make sure you check that it's definitely the stain.

I'll second the smashbox and marc jacobs recommendations. I'm also partial to Urban Decay liquid lipsticks (although they can be a bit drying), and the regular Urban Decay lipsticks are pretty long-lasting too.

I am no expert... But, when I posted a similar thread, before a vacation trip, I ended up getting a lipstick from MAC.
The one that I love the feel and the exact shade is not the longest lasting. But, I think they make a really long-wear lipstick.

I know you said you didn't want a two part lip system, but I have friends who are raving about Lipsense. I went out to an Indian buffet with one friend who was wearing it, and it looked as good at the end of dinner as when it started. She did want to apply some gloss when she was done, but i didn't think it was really necessary.

I love MAC their lipsticks & eyeliners are my go to things.

Have you tried lip stain? I have found some at both Ulta & Sephora, lasts quite awhile.

I love Jouer cosmetics Lipstick. its a liquid lipstick and I have one of the shiny ones (there's matte too) but it lasts so long! I eat, drink, still there. I haven't seen it in stores, I ordered online but the price isn't bad, its similar to MAC.

I've become a big fan of liquid lipsticks in the past year or so. A few of my favorites are The Balm's Meet Matte Hughes, Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche Liquefied Lipstick and Kat Von D's Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. The Bite one feels the best on my lips; The Balm's is a bit drying, but it offers my favorite shade of the three.

Liquid lipstick, IMO, lasts much longer than a tube style lipstick. The best one I've found right now is L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick. NOT the gloss. I believe it's $9.99 and I've found the best selection of color at Ulta, but they sell it at drug stores too. I've tried Bare Minerals and Tarte liquid lipsticks in the past and they work fine, but are more drying and more expensive. For the price and the long wear, the L'Oreal ones are great!

I don't wear much lip color but I've been curious about Lipsense because I'm too lazy to reapply if I actually DO put a color on my lips, so Lipsense seems right up my alley. How much does it cost, though?

My vote goes for MAC too, their lipsticks are pretty lasting.

Also, although a bit drying, Too Faced's Melted liquid lipstick collections are very long-lasting. They are my favourite, I use the matte ones though. I have yet to try to see how the gloss ones work out with longevity.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil. it's a fat pencil and the color really lasts. Revlon has a similar product which is almost as good, but not quite, and I don't like the colors quite as much. (Each of them also comes in a matte that I find too dry and a glossy version which is too sticky for me--I like plain lipstick.)
