Ladies - How do you store your jewelry?

I really like inexpensive/costume jewelry, like Lia Sophia. The problem I find is it tarnishes very easily. I started storing them in Tupperware/Rubbermaid containers and it does seem to keep the pieces in better shape.

Any tips for storage or cleaning of costume jewelry?
