Ladies- do you wear makeup in the parks?

I will say although i wear the minimal makeup on vaca we shared the raft w/another family on Kali. The mom was perfect! I wanted to hide my face under the raft... She had on a full face of makeup w/ her hair perfect and she put on a cute little poncho. I actually had to throw this woman a compliment, 90 degrees AK 2 toddlers & she had it all together.

I need a little makeup just to feel put together, especially since there are going to be pictures involved. I also don't care for going into a restaurant when I feel like my face is all sweaty and gross, and we do have ADRs in the parks during the day.

Based on recommendations in another makeup thread I read here, I plan to keep the following in my small makeup bag: BB cream (tinted moisturizer + sunscreen, three items in one), pressed powder compact, Burt's Bees tinted lipbalm, and waterproof mascara. I'm going to keep it in our little park backpack along with a thin pack of disposable facial wipes that I bought in the dollar section.

It's all pretty light and takes up little space in the bag, I found. Hopefully it will last awhile, and if not, I'll have it on hand to freshen up if needed.

I've never worn makeup in the parks. Figure with the humidity and heat, it's like asking to watch stuff cake and collect awkwardly on your face.

That being said, I do plan on doing some kind of mascara/eyeliner to enhance my eyes for my MNSSHP costume, but that's it.

I go el natural (moisturizer w/SPF and lip gloss) in the day. At night, before we leave for TS dinner, I usually do my hair and light makeup (light foundation, lip gloss, blush, maybe mascara). I like to glam up a little for dinner. I only put an extra 10-15 mins into it, but it makes me feel good.:)

I do...bronzer or bb cream, mascara and tinted lip balm. Along with sunscreen. I was there in August, and yes it was hot...but I didn't feel like I had a problem with my make-up sliding off my face.

I'm a biased answer because I don't wear makeup anywhere, but no.

I do use a moisturizer and lip balm, both with sunblock, as part of my regular routine, and those come to WDW with me for sure.

This is me, exactly. SPF 30 moisturizer, SPF 15 lip balm and SPF 70 Neutrogena dry touch sunscreen on all other exposed skin. I will also touch up with theSPF 70 on my face later in the day depending on how early we started out.

I definitely wear make up to the parks. I'm pale, prone to red blotchiness and have pretty bad hereditary dark circles. We always take a ton of pictures and, in the past without makeup, the tone of my skin and the dark circles make me look a little ill.

Although, I don't know about everyone else, but I wake up giddy and ready to hit the parks and sitting down to slap on some makeup is the last thing I want to do. :hourglass

I've been testing out Tarte's Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Powder Foundation lately and it's seriously some great stuff. Takes 30 seconds to put on, doesn't look powdery or cakey like powder foundation can and lasts a pretty long time in hot weather. This stuff is coming for sure this year!

Heck yes! Don't want people confusing me for an ugly stepsister! :rotfl:

In all seriousness, yes. We take lots of photos on vacation, and I don't want to look back on those and think, "Ugh - I was looking really rough." I just wear my normal daily make-up. But I'm from the south, so my normal daily make-up is constructed with high humidity levels in mind. Tinted moisturizer base, under-eye concealer, loose powder, blush, natural eye shadow (if any), and mascara. If it's disgustingly hot and I don't want any makeup, I'll at least put on some mascara because that will open up my eyes and make me look awake.

I wear my usual work makeup. CC cream with SPF, aqua eyes shadow pencil, mascara, fresh sugar lip balm and a bit of blush. Done in under 5 min. I'm really pale (the lightest of most foundations can be too dark on me) and my eyelashes are blonde, so if I don't wear mascara I look like I don't have eyelashes lol.

Yep, a full (natural) looking face of it too! My Disney Parks Regime consists of:

  • Moisturizer
  • BB Cream - right now Missha is in my bag, and don't get me started on how bad American "BB Creams" are compared to their original counterparts. :rotfl:
  • 24 Hour Foundation - right now I'm liking Revlon's ColorStay but that's bound to change by next month.
  • Setting Powder as I get major oil slicks in the humidity
  • NARS blush in a word I can't use on here
  • Smashbox eyeshadow over primer
  • Urban Decay's Up All Night Setting Spray

It seems like a lot, but it's my daily makeup routine so when all is said is done, it's maybe 15 minutes.

Yes! I wear make up daily because of my line of work and I feel naked without at least the foundation+eye shadow+mascara+lipstick combo.

I stick with the basics when I'm in the parks but I use a oil free foundation plus waterproof mascara. I also make sure everything is at least FPS 15 and I use a spray sunblock right after I wash my face in the mornings.

I don't wear makeup at all. Okay, maybe once or twice a year. I couldn't imagine wearing it in the parks. Too hot and sweaty.

I love love love makeup. That being said I do not think I will end up wearing any in the parks. (In June) I'll just wear spf 30 & take it with me because it should be reapplied several times a day. Prob also under eye concealer for my dark circles (hereditary + allergies). Prob also mascara and def spf lip balm
Maybe bronzer if I don't want to look like a ghost from my white sunscreen. It's just going to be too hot for anything more. Plus we are going to try and hit rope drops so who has time for all that!

I don't wear makeup like foundation, powder, etc. My daily routine is sunscreen, moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss/balm, with concealer for the occasional blemish if necessary. I just follow my usual routine. If I'm going out at night, then I'll add eyeliner/shadow, but I'd be worried about it running down my face during the day.

I went in August and I wore makeup. I wouldn't go without! I wear clinique and it held up just fine. I use powder, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner. Clinique is subtle so it just gives me the added touch I need.

Do you find the BB still "works" with moisturizer? I know my BB cream (Dr. Jart+ premium) says it's a moisturizer but I feel like my skin needs more since it's very dry.
