Ladies, do you know anything about cysts and miscarriages?

We aren't sure yet about the deployment. Its times like this that it sucks to be really good at your job I guess. The unit he is with now is slated to go in the summer '07 for Iraq again or another unit commander called asking if Matt would like to go to Afghanastain in the spring '07. Sort of like darn if you darn if you don't. I'm still praying that some other people we know come through with some new orders to move but we don't know yet.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to confuse everyone but I never suspected I could be pregnant. Heck, Matt's only been home 2 months now. IF I was pregnant when the stuff started happening I was just a month along, guess Matt came home locked and loaded :teeth: I never took a test at home and the test I took at my first visit came out negative. To be honest I'm doing my research now about all this and the terminalogy used and how to help in any way I can. At the time this all started I went to see my regular doctor and then had to wait for all the paperwork to go through the insurance before seeing a gyno. My regular doctor isn't equipped for a D&C and she did tell me that they don't do those unless 10 weeks or more. I'm so confused about all this to be honest. Thank you all for your words and helping me try to figure this all out.

I also have PCOS, had cysts, pain, awful cycles. and was able to complete 3 pregnancies and have 2 DDs and a DS!

Something to file away - most of the women I know who have PCOS actually had a surprise pregnancy while on the pill, myself included. I had better luck not getting pregnant when I was NOT taking the pill and did the complete NFP monitoring for ovulation. I know many would dispute that, but I'm sharing my story. YMMV.

If you think it is possible you could become pregnant you might consider taking a multivitamin that has at least 800mg of Folic Acid. Many of the womens formulas do, and it is good for you even if you are not pregnant.

As for diagnosis of PCOS, I was lucky to find a great doctor who had done a lot of study, including some formal national ones. She said it is a diagnosis of exclusion; you have ruled out other causes of the symptoms. I had so many of the markers, and so much had been ruled out that she felt confident with that diagnosis. I made changes to how I eat (lower carbs, higher fiber, more fish) and it helped balance out my hormones. I still have many other symptoms (fatigue, discoloration of some skin, too much facial hair) but they have improved to a degree I'm not often bothered by it. The first key they usually look for is difficultly getting or staying pregnant, maybe that is why the doctor said you would have to stop the RX and see what heppened?

Hugs to you and your DH - thank you for the sacrifices you both make for us!

Hang in there sweetie :grouphug:
I have just gone thru almost the same thing in the last few weeks. I went just yesterday for my 2nd ultrasound since 10/25 and a cyst that I was kind of freaked out about on my right ovary had dissolved thank goodness! It was technically a complex cyst which can sometimes be bad and require surgery but it went away on its own. I have always had problems like this and I have a beautiful DD5. Just be concientious about your gyn care and get a gyn that will take time to advise and answer your q's and you'll be fine. Even women who have no problems at all have miscarriages and go on to have whole football teams! :rotfl: Keep your chin up! We're here for you!

Hey Tina~ lots of hugs and prayers for you and Matt. I'm glad he's home to help you through this. I'm not happy however to hear that he's deployed again so soon! I hope everything is ok. Let us know girlfriend, we're all here for you. :grouphug:
