Has anyone got any experience of using a hairdresser whilst on hol - I'm thinking of 'wash and blow dry' rather than anything too adventurous. It's just that whilst on hol my hair takes forever - it's thick and wavy!!

Before flying - I do the trip to the hairdresser thing hoping the blow dry will last as long as poss but it never lasts long enough!

So for our next trip (8 days at New Year) I was thinking about visiting a hairdresser part way through the trip. Somewhere near the Dolphin.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

I love the hair salon at Coronado Springs. It's a company which has salons in several WDW resorts, as well as some of the off site resorts.

It's a little salon for one or two guests only, but the woman who works there gives me a great cut. And it's so relaxing, and the products smell so good.

Normally going to the hairdresser is almost as bad as going to the dentist - I hate strangers in my personal space. But going to the salon at CSR is a pleasure, plus it gives me an excuse to go to WDW whenever I need a haircut!!!

DH got haircut each time he's in Disney. So far the Epcot is far better than GF. Not sure about woman's styling though. But I'm sure you can just tell the hairdresser exactly what you want, and hope they don't mess it up. :)

If you are staying at the Dolphin walk over to the Yacht club resort across the bridge and next to Beaches and Cream is a beautiful little salon. I noticed it last year when we stayed at Swan. Enjoy!

Thanks for your help Disneytrip, :cheer2:

I am hoping to book pre-book an appointment before we fly out in December, do you know the name of the Salon? It would be a great help

Thanks very much,

The salon is actually at the Beach Club resort (of course where Beaches and Cream is, sorry about that). Here is the info for the salon from www.allearsnet.com. I guess you can call Beach Club at 407-934-8000 and ask to be connected.
The salon-Periwig's- is located next to Ship Shape Health Club between the Yacht and Beach Clubs. It is open Monday thru Saturday from 9-6 and Sundays from 10-6.

I used the salon at the Beach club for a wash and blow dry and a manicure...really nice!
