Ladies...bathing suits and coverups for the water parks?

Let me guess. The same clothes you can always tell that American tourist wear in Europe.

You can always tell with a score of 100 % witch tourist come from the US. :rotfl2:

Uhhh, I'm kinda missing your point. The clothing that I was referring to were the bathing suites; male speedos and female strings on unathletic, out of shape swimmers do not look nice.

Don't worry I don't get it either and I am european. (Well, kinda - if English counts. We don't tend to rock such small swim wear as our continental friends though!)

I think somebody was just getting a little defensive......

Most countries have different fashion etc. So I think its true to say that foreigners often stand out.

Back on topic:

I'm too scared of Sumkmit Plummet - but would any other rides require me to take off little scuba shoes?

I took off my water shoes on crush n gusher too, I believe at the request of the CM. I just held them in my hands going down. The rest of the rides I wore them.

Well maybe you understand that throwing a whole continent on the same bathing suits level is just as wrong as I'm saying the same thing about Americans when they visit another part of the world.:lmao:

And I saw A lot of Pooh shaped people waring to small bating suits in the resort pools but does that mean every guest is dressed badly when swimming? Of course not its just a stereotype that jumps into your eyes when you see them.

And yes I'm more than Pooh shaped myself and I even don't swim.

I wear a surf-shirt/rashguard type t-shirt over my bathing suit along with swim shoes. The swimshoes you have to take off on those bullet slides, but can use them many other places.

I HIGHLY recommend rashguard swim shirts and swim shoes, especially for the children.

If your going to the water park in the summer months, the ground is HOT and slippery. You can wear the swim shoes on everything except one or two big slides where they ask you to hold them in your hands.

My kids always wear the rashguard swim shirts even in the pools at the resort. I like the added sun protection. They have worn them since birth and think it's part of a swim suit :rotfl2:

Oh, plenty of spray sunscreen too! I use the spray then a sunstick for their faces. :thumbsup2

Yes, I would wear a dress/cover up, especially to wait in line to buy food. :hippie:
I will have flip flops as well to protect tootsies from hot, hot concrete! :rotfl:

Your suit & dress sound super cute! :cutie:

Happy planning & have a great vacation!

I agree! :thumbsup2

You will be fine! I, personally, like a coverup for mealtime but it's definately not necessary. You'll be shocked to see what some people are wearing or at least I was!!! LOL!

I wear a cover up when on vacations where I eat/drink at pool bars. So I'll do the same at TL/BB.

There's something about eating with my belly out that I just cant do!

I'll also probably take dry underwear so I don't ahve to sit on the bus back soggy...

Me and my friend Margeritha always crazy for getting swim wear as according to trend. She likes Summer Sizzle Ruffle most and I like Pink Chocolate Polka Dots Bikini.

Just a word of caution when wearing flip flops....they are slippery when wet!!

We went to TL for the 1st time this May. I wasn't paying attention when I got off of one ride and went on line to the next one. I was too busy talking and laughing with my son. In the walkway of some of the rides (forget which one) it's a cement path and then randomly it breaks into a litle stone thing... and then back to a cement path....wipe out!! I grabbed the fence but did a nice job on my shin and tip of the toe with the crooked flip flop. Hold them until they dry a little before putting them back on or just pay attention to the ground in front of you. Pretty embarrassing and painful :upsidedow
Oh yeah, don't forget them in your lazy river raft either!!!:rotfl: I almost did that too!

That sounds good for the water park! I would suggest bringing a back up swimsuit just in case though. I didn't and my bikini strap broke as soon as we got to the park (Brand new suit too!) and I had to shell out the big bucks for a mickey mouse suit there.
