Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

I still haven't been able to view the document. I'm hoping that I'l be able to from my office computer tomorrow.

So I looked again and maybe I'm reading the dates wrong? The chart is showing AKL Arusha view at the end of February as $588. The current published rate is $459, weekday rate. That's a big jump :confused3

I don't see January on the Excel spreadsheet at all though so that's what's making me think that maybe I'm reading something wrong - could very well be the case - LOL!!!!!!!!!

Hi, Ive been trying to look at the spreadsheet all day and it wont come up on my computer (ive tried 2 different computers)..

Any chance someone could send it to me?

Thanks

I also had issues, but once I signed in, it opened right up. Try that :goodvibes

I can open it but can't make head nor tails of the dates LOL!

If I'm reading it correctly (someone correct me if I'm not, because then I'm doing my calculations all wrong :rotfl2: ) the two dates side-by-side on each row are the dates from (date) to (date). The first half of the chart seems to be weekend dates and the second half is weekdays.

For example, where it says

April 21 April 25

then the numbers below that would be the weekday rates from April 21st-25th, and for all the other dates listed in that section. :)

ETA: Scratch the $135 discount I thought I was getting earlier - I didn't realize the rack rates on the WDW website included tax whereas I'm presuming the rates on the chart don't include tax. Factoring in tax, we'll save a whopping $18 off rack rates  . I really hope that maybe something else is included in the price too - the resort we wanted is more expensive with this offer than rack rate, and originally I was happy to switch to somewhere else for a big discount, but for $18 I think I'd rather keep my original choice. But then if I wanted to use this offer to get the discounted tickets, I'd have to pay these rates which are higher than rack rates, and cancel out any savings :confused3 . We're looking at AP's, it'd be nice if an AP discount would come out too.

So if I am looking at this correctly:
April 19-20 is 132.00
April 17-18 and 21-24 is 107.00
Both for All Star

Then 8 day park passes are 271 per adult

Correct? For a total of 1341?

The reason you don't see January is because the offer begins on February 18th. :)

Since the numbers don't make sense, I'll wait until Jan 3rd to see what happens.

Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out. I saw "book by January 3" and wasn't paying attention and thought the offer started January 3!

I guess this whole discussion is irrelevant to me then because our trip is January 29 - February 3!

The numbers DO make sense to me. Remember that the room rate on Danny25's charts is the rate per ROOM, not the rate per PERSON.

By Danny25's charts, my stay at CBR in May is $173/night for 8 nights and $195/night for 4 nights (weekends are always higher), double occupancy. That makes a total room cost of $2,164 for the entire stay. I just went to Disney's site and priced room-only for that time period, and they gave me a quote of $2,650. Discount is $486 = about 17.5%. I'll take it.

Then I added tickets: 10 days with Hoppers and Water Parks. Per Danny25's original post the discount price will be $344 * 2 people = $688. When I added them to the room on the Disney quote today, it added $801.72. So the discount = $113.72 = also about 17.5% less. This makes the whole package about a $600 discount. Would I like more? Sure, I'm greedy. But will I grab this as soon as it's available? You bet.

I'm glad your dates make sense. My dates are end of March. Rack rate right now on WDW site is 715 per night for BC CL. On Danny's chart, my dates show 875 per night for my exact dates. Something is definitely not right for my dates.

t.

maybe so, except that most of the rates on the chart are HIGHER than the current rack rate, so there's no discount at all on the room side of it. :confused3

Mine either. POFQ shows $228 per night on his chart for June and I believe rack is $199. POR shows $180 (a modest 10% discount, which is still surprising since POR is typically one of the most discounted moderates).

Something is definitely off with the chart. But I am content to wait it out until 1/3. Too many other things happening right now to occupy me ;):santa:

The numbers for your dates and tickets may have shown a discount but if you look at all the numbers they do not make any sense. Look at the 2 day versus 1 day passes. There is no way Disney would charge more to buy a 2 day then pass then buying 2 separate 1 day passes. And there's no way Disney would charge more for a 3 day pass then a 4 or 5 day pass. You also must remember that those rates on the spreadsheet may not include taxes while the quote you get from the site does.

And there is no way that Disney would increase the rate on some of the rooms as much as what is listed there. The published rates did not come out to long ago.

No offense to the op but something is seriously wrong or missing with those numbers. I would not make any plans based on this information.

Did you include tax in your promo pricing? That might eat up the 17% if not.

I don't think anyone was calculating by PERSON - it just happens that for many (most?) resorts & dates, these prices are higher than the current published rack rates. Very strange!

Also, don't forget your tax, 12.5% on the room, I believe, which brings your room discount down to about 9%. Better than nothing?

We are checking in February 6th and out on the 13th...wonder if I can get the park ticket discounts at least??? We are currently on the SPD package.

If you are part of a package, then you need to get tickets in the package to keep the discount. You would not be able to "stack" the discount.

Also, I believe the promo starts 2/18/13.

I am finding all of this very confusing...even after downloading the document. Are there blackout dates? I am specifically looking at May 26 - June 1.
