I have been working out for a while now. Yesterday I went to do my walk/jog. I wore an old pair of workout pants that had some fraying (really a tear) on the inner thighs. I knew I should change but thought they felt ok. Now I realized about halfway into my walk that I was having a problem but felt great otherwise so I kept going. I now have the worst inner thigh chafing in the world. Where the cloth was frayed the threads just cut into me. I am walking like a freak and had to cancel my gym appointment today, although I made up an excuse.
Any tips for healing this quickly so I can get to the gym on Wed. without too much pain?

Try Body Glide. It looks like a deodorant, and it glides on and puts a coating on that helps prevent chafing. I know right now you are already chafed, but it might help to protect the spot from further irritation.

I feel your pain. Good luck!

I'm good at preventing it. I have body glide. Plus I normally wear longer compression pants, capri length. These completely prevent the problem. The problem is the pain today and the bit of stupid embarrasment I feel.

It happens to me, too. It takes a long time for it to go away.
