Is this a good movie and this can also be the discussion thread for the film.I mostly want to see it since I like Joaquin Phoenix but being on the safe side

With our 'little guy' Vince a FF/PM, I will probably make this one of my bi-annual movies to see. :) I know Marie has been talking about it and do know the movie critic on WGN radio gave it 'best of year'. Sounds like a good one, at least from what I have heard.

Planning to go and see it Monday or Tuesday - I have 2 firefighter brothers so I hope it doesn't make me worry about them more than I do now.

my dad is a firemen...so my brother and i are going to go see it with him and a couple other firemen

DW and I saw Ladder 49 yesterday (Friday). We thought it was a very good movie with some very emotional moments.

I can't wait for Monday so I can go see it! I'm waiting 'til Monday so I can go ALL ALONE while the kids are in school! ;)
Ok, maybe my sister will come!
I can't wait!

This was filmed in Baltimore so they are really making a big deal about it here. All of the reveiws I have seen have been good. We don't get out to the movies often but I would like to see this one.

Planning to see it this weekend.

I just read an article about how the movie company shot the dangerous fire scenes at

herc.

I would love to see this actually, mostly since I'll see anything Joaquin Phoenix is in

I saw this movie last night. It was a very good movie. I would highly suggest going. VERY MOVING!

I want to see it too and so does our DS10, but I want to see it first as my DH is a firefighter and I don't want DS to worry about him any more than he already does. I'm even worried it will make me worry more than I already do, but it looks like such a good movie. We are hoping to go see it with our other best friends as an adult date night movie as we've been trying to have one of those for almost 2 years now and haven't been able to work it out for one reason or another. Then we'll decide if we'll let the kids see it or not, they have a DD12 (almost anyway) who would also worry about her Uncle too!

I saw it last night with my son, we both enjoyed it very much. Great movie for the guys and a love story for the ladies. Brought tears to my eyes in the end.

My DH is a volunteer Firefighter, so yes, we will be going to see this movie in the near future.

Ladder 49 is a must see for any other firemen's wives out there.

Joaquin Phoenix is a DOLL and does a great job!

:) We went to see it yesterday - first show - for DH's birthday.
