Maybe I shouldn't start this thread, but I just couldn't believe it. He's sold her car and bought himself a new truck. Does this seem a little odd? If it were me I would be going crazy, my wife missing, my child's due date come and gone, how are they, where are they, and he buys a new truck? I saw this on my local news and the truck too, which I admit isn't a good source, but I can't find anything on CNN, etc.

Definitely odd, if it were me there would be nothing on my mind but finding my husband, certainly not getting a new vehicle. Why would he sell HER car, that just tells me that he KNOWS she's not coming back, and if he knows that, then he knows why she's not coming back. All points lead to him, plain and simple, hopefully the cops figure it out sooner than later.

I agree, it's very suspicious. I wonder what her family thinks of this latest move.

He also put the house up for sale one week after she was missing.

You know, he is really cold, but he's also stupid.

Very suspicious!

I have been following this case since she was reported missing. IMHO, her husband is guilty as heck!!!! Not once, not even a little bit, have you seen this guy cry ( I'm not even goig to count the "FAKE" ones he "pushed" out during his interview with Diane Sawyer!!)......or has he even "looked" like he's been crying!! You know how someone looks when they have cried all night?? Eyes all swollen, red/bloodshot, dark circles under the eyes ( from lack of sleep ). All the pictures I have seen of him on Laci's website, and their local news website, show him very calm.....refreshed looking....and as if he's just too busy to mess with anyone. He almost has a way about him that says....."Leave me alone, I'm busy getting on with my life". :(

He put the house up for sale? Now who does this? Imagine if she were kidnapped, and in a few weeks she makes her way back to their home to find that it's NOT her home anymore??

Oh, he so did it, why is it taking the police so long?

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind anymore, I'm sure the police have figured it out too. I feel so bad for her family, no wonder they've turned their backs on him.

Because they need proof which they do not have yet. When they are not sure 100%, they are not going to arrest him.

He's been giving them a hefty load of circumstancial evidence, which isn't enough to nail him. It really appears as though he has moved on. Some people need closure to move on. I can't figure this guy out. Is he guilty, cold-hearted, dumb or all of them?

I heard the information about the house and the new truck on CNN this morning.

I already thought the guy was probably guilty but this just makes me more convinced that he did it. I can't imagine an innocent person trying to sell the house and her car.

It really appears as though he has moved on.

Obviously he has, a whole month and 11 days after she turns up missing, that has to be some sort of record.

He's acting like he's sure her body will never be found, and that he knows the police can't really pin it on him unless it is found.

I think he's guilty, but I also think he's got some sort of "complex." His actions just don't seem to reflect reality.

One thing I dont get is why they were so sure they'd find her in the Bay? Seems that if someone was going to go to the trouble of putting a body on a boat they'd at least go on out into the Pacific where it would be more likely to never be found. I'd bet they'll never find her body and that the person in Washington State made up the story about seeing her with the kidnapper. For him to sell the car and the house just shows everyone that trusted him how guilty he really is.

about why he is selling the house and car SO FAST? If my spouse was missing that would be the LAST thing on my mind. I'dbe too worried and grief stricken.

This guy is cold blooded and stupid. His wife and unborn son are "missing" and he is out buying a truck and selling their house.
They cant put this guy away fast enough for me. To bed he doesnt live here in Texas--we have a great program for murders.

Could someone PLEASE, give me a link to these articles....about Scott ( the jerk ) selling the house and truck??!!?!?!

I have been searching on CNN....Laci's website.....and their hometown website.....for over an hour. I can NOT find anything about the house or truck.

I have already looked on CNN's website and I cannot find an article but I am sure it is there somewhere. So much of the site is about Columbia (and rightfully so).

I heard about the house and the car on the American Morning show this morning on CNN before I left for work a little after 6 this morning. They even showed a picture of Scott smiling with his new truck.

I think that's the typical reaction of a NOT guilty person, which is why his behavior is so strange.

This may sound weird but I'm a big fan of these kind of crimes. I've always been curious about spouse and family killers and they all seem to be the same kind... highly selfish, greedy types who see nothing wrong with how they are seen after the crime. The things they do match why they did the deed in the first place.
Betty Broderick, Gregory MacDonald, Diane Downs, OJ, there is definitely a profile which this guy fits.
