Lactose free info.

I just got back from a trip with my lactose intollerant niece.

We had a great time! The chefs came to see us at all of the TS and the CS places-except Coral Reef. At the TS places they made her dairy free waffles/pancakes, pasta with sauce, corn (no butter), cucumbers and at Tusker House the chef even brought her out peanut butter and jam from the back to make sure it hadn't touched any of the dairy containing bread on the buffet. We only had one mix up at The Wave when the server put out pasta that had mozzarella on it-I quickly removed it from my niece and the server quickly returned with one without cheese.

The chefs at Pop Century were so good. They made her pizza with soy cheese and waffles without dairy.

My niece liked the chocolate Silk. She doesn't normally drink Soy milk only Lactaid. She also tried the Tofutti ice cream and the Rice Dream ice cream- we don't have it up here. She really like the chocolate and vanilla Tofutti. She also enjoyed the Divvies chocolate chip cookies. I had enough snack credits left we were able to bring a box home.

I am VERY lactose intolerant as well. This is great advice! Usually I just try to avoid dairy especially on vacation because ... well... I don't want to be sick while trying to rie space mountain. I had NO clue Disney was this helpful with dairy issues. Thank you for sharing your experience!

It's wonderful that they're so conscientious regarding this. My sisters and I are lactose intolerant too, and boy, who wants to suffer that while at WDW???!!!!

NOT me!!!! It is a horrible feeling. I take pills but they don't always help. This will be a nice option!!!
