Lack of Frozen

Not sure that's a good judge on if they need changing or not. They'll fill up because they are the only options for character meals. Not because people like best them just they way they are.

I'm not sure the Disney bean counters would agree with you.

But if the meals are already fully booked, what is Disney's motivation to change them? It's not like they're having trouble filling those tables.
How about another restaurant?
People would still eat at the others. We are planning to book as many princess meals as we can when we go since it isn't a yearly trip for us. It's a big deal for us to go. (In fact, I've never been.).

As I said above, I'd be all for that. But right now they are in the enviable position of running those restaurants at full capacity. At some point they have to be afraid of cannibalizing their own business and leaving empty tables at the other locations, especially in non-peak seasons.

There is an attraction based on Song of the South, a movie Disney refuses to release on home video, but there are tons of movies that are worldwide phenomenons that don't, and probably never will, have attractions. The reality of the situation is that being popular doesn't automatically necessitate an associated attraction.

Personally, I'd prefer Disney attempt more original concept rides, like The Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, or Pirates of the Caribbean. I feel like Imagineering is at its strongest when not bound by the constraints of pre-existing material. Though, I wouldn't turn my nose up at attractions based on Victory Through Air Power or Der Fuehrer's Face.

Their motivation SHOULD be to give guests the best experience they can. Not to see how long people continue to pay for what's there. I understand Disney does not agree with me, and they are going to simply maximize profits and make investors happy at the expense of guests. It works for them, but it's not a business model I subscribe to and not something I would be proud of if it was my company. I have a feeling Walt would agree. And no, this is not unique to Disney. Pretty much every major juggernaut company operates the same way, so I am not hating on Disney. It's just the reality of the world.

YEAH! Where's all The Incredibles rides? Just think, Dash's Great Escape! Fly with Syndrome! The Incredibles Epic Stunt and Pyro Show! Playtime with Jack Jack!

The point of all this is not to say that should have 3 attractions, a meet and greet and a restaurant for frozen already. I just feel like their biggest movie of all time, bigger than the lion king, than the little mermaid, bigger than Toy story, should just have a little more influence around Disney World. Maybe a few billboards, some bus signs, some songs in the parade, really anything like that wouldn't take much planning. I'm sure like everyone said, it will get there, in the mean time, going to keep enjoying all the great stuff they have now.

Where are you getting your info? Yes, Frozen has done extremely well at $1.2 billion. But it's not Disney's biggest movie of all time.

That honor goes to Avatar with $2.78 billion. Followed by Avengers at $1.5 billion. The Toy Story movies combine for $1.9 billion.

Avatar hasn't seen any presence at any parks. Yes, they did break ground on a new land. But, before that, there weren't any signs, parades, or meet and greets.

It is the highest grossing ANIMATED film of all time. Toy Story 1, 2 AND 3 only grossed 1.9 billion. Frozen did almost as much by itself (1.2 billion) and, btw, that is only box office sales....does not include dvd/blu-ray sales to date. Toy Story 3 was the highest grossing of the bunch at just over 1 billion $. And Avatar isn't a Disney property per se. They have partnered with James Cameron, not bought the rights to the movie franchise.

I personally would like to see this, among other things, added to Epcot to make it a little more fresh and exciting again. Epcot needs a pick-me-up and this would help a great deal. Magic Kingdom can still have a meet/greet, but additionally Epcot should add:

1. Frozen-themed area with a new character dining table service restaurant. Along with a small counter snack service, similar to Gaston's.

With that, a new dark ride. Maybe something like Sven's Sleigh ride that has educational elements to it. Learning about the winter weather and how people from different parts of the world and wildlife live/adapt to it and the snow.

2. Greatly expand on the Immagination Pavilion giving it a total facelift by theming the area to Figment & (finally) the return of Dreamfinder.

3. With PUSH gone from WDW, bring WALL-E into Epcot as an interactive move around character similar to what Push was. An educational pavilion or attraction or something, ANYTHING featuring both WALL-E & Eve would be great. Here is a thought, how about replace Ellen and make it THE UNIVERSE OF ENERGY FEATURING WALL-E & EVE'S ENERGY ADVENTURE!

If guests are selling out the existing character meals then it is clearly what they want.

I'm all in favour of adding more character meals with different groups, a Toy Story themed one (Woody, Buzz, Jesse, Bullseye, Green Army man) at Pizza Planet or a UK themed one (Robin Hood, Toad, Merlin, Basil) in Epcot but removing things which are popular and making money makes no sense either from a business or a service perspective.

I can't wait to see what kind of Frozen attraction Tokyo Disney eventually gets. That's where all the good stuff is going, and they are still so nuts for the movie they may vault it into the top three of all time eventually.

There is a rumor going around about Maelstrom getting a "Frozen" facelift. I would be shocked if this happens, considering that the ride originally contained music from the Sherman Brothers and more intense effects but this was changed because the ambassadors wanted a more Norwegian history ride for the family.

How would they feel if their ride got changed into a Norway-ish fantasy adventure with a talking snowman?

Either way, not everyone is Frozen crazy (I love it, but I don't want to see it at every turn). I think the M&G and parade float addition is enough. I will actually avoid anything Frozen related to avoid the crazy parent stampedes!!

There's a reliable source over on WDWMagic reporting Frozen IS coming to Maelstrom.

I'm not sure what you mean by "ambassadors" but the pavilion hasn't had sponsorship for years.

Avatar is not a Disney movie and combining all 3 Toy Story's isn't exactly a responsible comparison when frozen wasn't far behind with just one movie. The point again was not to say they should even have a single attraction yet bc it's been 6 months, that would be ridiculous to think somthing could be rushed that fast. I just meant more of a presence in general.

I would truly hate for the parks to become the flavor of the day, so to speak. One day covered with Toy Story, the next day covered with Frozen. I would rather the parks stay true to the classics, and then have small bits of the newer movies added in. I don't care how much money it has made (and when they charge so much more for movies now than they used to, is that even a fair comparison?) the parks shouldn't be that trendy.

Frozen may be Disney's highest grossing box office animated movie to date, but that's only because of how expensive movie tickets are now. When adjusted for inflation it drops down the ranking quite a bit. There are several different websites that track this. Although they're not always consistent on every movie, they all seem to rank #1 as Snow White & the Seven Dwarves after adjustment.
