Lack of Frozen

I think when they said greet they meant the animatronic Olaf that talks to guests as they enter Disneylands A&E meet and greet area. Which looked really sweet by the way, there are some videos of him up on YouTube.

Yep, that guy looks pretty cool. But I don't want anyone to think there's an actual M&G with him out there either.

Disney was taken by surprise by Frozen's massive success, and pretty much everything that you see at WDW takes quite a long time to plan, so I wouldn't expect any major Frozen content for at least a couple of years. I'm sure that at a certain point Frozen might even have its own attraction.

On the other hand, some of Disney's most popular films don't have any presence whatsoever at Disney parks, so who knows. Some of us are still waiting for a Lion King ride :rotfl:

Watched 'Frozen' last night with the family. During the scene where the younger sisters play in the great room with Elsa's snow magic (and Anna eventually gets zapped in the forehead) I thought it would be fun to recreate that as a 'kids play area' at WDW. It could be as simple and quick as an outdoor and shaded play area with all sorts of Frozen snow creations and characters to look at (photo ops), climb on, spin and slide down. Have a few water (ie snow) squirters for kids to cool down. They could also go a bit more 'all out' by making an indoor great room (A/C) with real snow falling every now and then (nice cool down in the summer.) Maybe have some back story and film memorabilia like the Narnia exhibit they had at HS.

I know, right? Where is my ride with Taran and Princess Eilonwy on their adventure to stop The Horned King? ;)

Frozen was great, don't get me wrong, but it does not define all of Disney. Fine, put in one ride maybe, but I doubt they would put a Frozen Land in.

I thought we were all still waiting for Cars Land. LOL.

I know I'm still waiting for my Monsters Inc Door Roller Coaster in HS! One can dream though right?;)

I want them to build Kuzcotopia, personally.

This!!!! Wrong level Krunk!

I'd pay for a updated Princess Meal... Meet Anna and Elsa first then have Merida, Rapunzel, Tiana, Mulan or Pocahontas walking around. My DD loved meeting these on our last trip. We saw Cindy 4 times... By the 4th time she didn't even want her autograph any more!

I wish there was an Olaf M&G. My boys loved Frozen but they don't want to meet princesses. WDW is very girl-centric and it can be disheartening when a new movie comes out and they immediately cater to the girls. As a mother of two boys, it would be nice to see something more boy focused or that would appeal to both genders (ie. Olaf, Carsland, etc).

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs movie was release in 1937.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train opens TOMORROW.

I agree they really need an updated princess character meal, people would hand over a lot of money to meet these princess instead of having to wait in long lines

Yes I'd pay for new princess meal with Elsa, Anna. Rapunzel, Merida , etc...

But if the meals are already fully booked, what is Disney's motivation to change them? It's not like they're having trouble filling those tables.

Time for a new restaurant! Or maybe breakfast at Be Our Guest. Tons of tables there.

I have been waiting for this ride since the movie first came out!:lmao::lmao: When I saw that scene I thought it'd be the perfect idea for a ride!:hyper:
Still waiting Disney!:rotfl2:popcorn::

I'd be all for it and was frustrated they didn't do that from the get go at BOG. The only thing I can figure is that they are afraid of just shifting the business from one location to the other, perhaps leaving the second running at less than full capacity with higher overhead.

I do get frustrated with the static nature of the WDW character meals. We are probably on the verge of eliminating some of our regular stops because it's just the same thing every time.

Not sure that's a good judge on if they need changing or not. They'll fill up because they are the only options for character meals. Not because people like best them just they way they are.
