I am planning a trip to Disneyland from September 1 to 5. Actually, we will only have full days on 9/2, 9/3, and 9/4 which are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We will probably have two days of tickets. Which days would be best? I assume Tuesday will be less busy than the other days?

Tuesday will be less busy and will have many rides go down for refurb. If it is your first trip then go Saturday/Sunday. If you have been before then consider Tuesday.

Thanks, that helps. But how busy will it be Sat/Sun? Is it still manageable or will it be mobbed? I have been to DL before (though not recently and never to California Adventure) but the kids haven't.

Also, the Disneyland Half Marathon will be on Sunday. Although I don't think it will have a huge effect on crowds inside the park, it does cause havoc outside the park with traffic/road closures/etc. We were there for the Tinkerbell race a couple of weeks ago, and we had a hard time navigating Anaheim. Inside the park there were racers everywhere, but it didn't seem overly busy.

Very few times of year is DLR "mobbed". That happens around Christmas and New Years, and in June when something big and new opens. Labor Day is not known for being terribly busy but it will be busy. Most people who are highly concerned about crowds at such times come back and say it was not nearly as bad as they were expecting it to be.

The thing is, if you are smart about how you tour it won't matter. If you do what everyone else is doing it will seem way worse than it really is.

1. Show up early each day - at least 30 minutes before the park opens.
2. Learn to use FASTPASS and start collecting them in the morning
3. Take a break mid-day to your room for a swim and nap and/or rest time.
4. Come back at 5-7PM and stay out late.
