Labor Day Weekend DISers: TOMORROW!!! (UPDATED)

I've been doing the same thing with my kids! NO GETTING HURT OR SICK! My DD4 is not listening so well to that rule: Since last week she has had a sore throat (got better as soon as I purchased sore throat relief strips), a warty big toe (got better as soon as we put goop on it), a scabby big toe (started after we stopped putting goop on it and is now peeling and flappy, ick!), and a snotty nose. I think I'd better buy her some cold meds so she can get better!!

We are going to the MNSSHP on 9/5 -- next Friday already! -- and just TODAY my mom decided us grownups should wear costumes after all! In between my working 2 jobs & taking care of 2 kiddos, somehow I'm supposed to help her make some Mouseketeer outfits. She is on the hunt as we speak for some white tshirts and iron-on letters, and I'm on a mission to find some Mouseketeer logos to print out on sticker paper and stick on our old TDS mouse ears. Gah! Way to wait until the last minute, Mom... it's not like we're leaving in 38 hours or anything!!

Confession time: I haven't yet bought DD9's MNSSHP costume either. That's on the list for today. Maybe Mom should dress as a tree, and I should be the apple who isn't falling far.

We'll look for you! We'll be the sorry-looking Mouseketeers, with a little pink Minnie Mouse and a preteen Hannah Montana who will probably be really hot & sweaty in her jeans & plastic jacket, but will be too stubborn to take it off because it wasn't her idea first.

Not to be a downer...really...but is anyone worried about Hannah??? Hopefully it will be nothing but what happens if a Cat 1 hit WDW? Do they force evacuation for a Cat 1? Just wondering.

Not to be a downer...really...but is anyone worried about Hannah??? Hopefully it will be nothing but what happens if a Cat 1 hit WDW? Do they force evacuation for a Cat 1? Just wondering.

I'm not sure about WDW's hurricane plan. Right now, I wouldn't worry about it. Forecasts can change, but right now no matter how strong Hannah gets, it should be eventually heading southwest towards the Bahamas around Wed 9/3 and should not be a factor for WDW.

I can't believe our trip actually begins tomorrow. I know a few Labor Day DISers on this thread are already in WDW. For those who leave today, tomorrow or shortly thereafter, I just want to say thanks for joining in on the countdown with all of your wonderful posts. I'm not sure about WDW's hurricane plan. Right now, I wouldn't worry about it. Forecasts can change, but right now no matter how strong Hannah gets, it should be eventually heading southwest towards the Bahamas around Wed 9/3 and should not be a factor for WDW.

Printed my "A" group boarding passes this morning, working all day with a quick haircut over my lunch hour, packing last minute necessities... well, at the last minute, and TAKING OFF IN 22 HOURS!! It's been great having people to share in the excitement.

We leave on Sunday!!! OMG I am so excited and nervous at the same time! DH hates to fly...DD4 has never been on a plane and already said she would rather go on a train. DS8 and myself will have no problems!!! Got benadryl today for DH...plan on knocking is tushy out for the plane...really 38 year old man that freaks everytime we go near the airport!!! This flight should be fun!
