Labor Day Week and ADR's

Do you think it will be a little easier to get some ADR's for the week of Labor Day? I know free dining will still be going on, but with the kids back in school, maybe less people will be going?

I'm just getting so nervous now hearing about how the system keeps crashing and people not being able to get what they want.

In the same boat. I think it will slow down a bit by Labor Day except perhaps the Labor Day weekend but I've also read Labor Day week is the slowest week of the year.

I'm hoping right there with you! We arrive on Labor Day (also my birthday!) and I have been majorly stressing reading all these nightmare posts about ADRs. I can't help but think that mid-August, when most schools are still out, will be a lot busier than the week of Labor Day, when everyone has started back. That's what I'm telling myself, anyway, to get to sleep at night!

Happy Birthday, Jana616! My birthday is the 3rd, but we'll be arriving on the 8th (Tuesday). I booked that week SPECIFICALLY because WDW has been historically slow that week AND b/c of free dining--I have no qualms taking my child out of school!!! So many people want to have one last summer 'hurrah' that mid to late August is horrendous!

I'm stressing about picking restaurants and hoping that the online ADR system will be up and ready to use by June 10 (my day).

Not sure. We went the Tues before to the Tues after Labor Day last year, and we could not get Chef M, Tutto or Tepan or LeCeller, etc. Most of the best for any time that we were there. We made the mistake of trying to do the ADRS less than 180 days out. Either way, we didn't have any luck with walk up either. The only ADR we could get was the Garden Grill at lunch, and it was so bad, we will never go back there again. We're going this year, at that time, as our kids don't start school until the Wed after Labor Day.

We are going over the labor day weekend too. It's my Sis' birthday 9/6 which we plan to celebrate in Epcot! Happy Birthday to you too Jana616!!! i expect that due to the holiday and free dining it will be crowded that weekend, but I managed to talk my sis into going to celebrate, as I can't wait to get back to Disney!!! I think if we all get a our adr's and a touring plan going, it will be a great weekend. I just hope we don't get hurricane weather - ouch!!!
