Labor Day thoughts?

As others have said, last Saturday was very busy at Magic Kingdom. Most attractions were about an hour wait. 25 minutes for Teacups was the shortest we saw. The morning at Epcot was better. The entire week leading up to (including the weekend before) Labor Day weekend was wonderful. Low crowds. We walked onto Everest. Only waited 15 minutes for Soarin without a FP. Etc.

We were there Aug. 29- Sept. 4. The week leading up to Labor Day weekend was great( including Friday). Friday we went to AK and walked on every ride. Used our FP, but didn't need them. rode EE 9 times, and that was with a swim break back at our hotel.

Then Sat. Was Crazy!! The biggest crowds we have ever seen. Even People mover had long lines!! We still had a great time, and since we were there from 8 am- 1 am, we did get everything done, and did Space, Splash and PP twice.

I have been to WDW four times during Labor Day weekend - 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014. I'm also here now--arrived on Saturday and go home this coming Saturday. In each of those first four trips, I would have told you Labor Day was the exception to the holiday rule. Not crowded at all, in fact LOW crowds, even at MK for the sunday before Labor day and Labor Day itself.

This year was totally different. We were at MK Sunday and it was slammed. We arrived at 9:05am and went right to Pooh--25 minute wait. It's usually no wait if you get there at RD. Lines were long all day. Epcot was packed on Monday--Imagination had a line out the door if you can believe that. Tuesday, however, wad dead at DHS. Hardly any wait times at all and we loved it. We agreed that if we come this week again, we are going to travel on Labor Day and start the parks on the Tuesday.
