Labor day coundowners...

How were your vacations ?? I followed the countdown so much and I am wondering if everyone had lots of fun and pixie dust?? We did!!
we really liked SSR and had an awesome room in the grandstand that overlooked the spray/play area of the pool. Once the kids got used to the heat we had a great time. We walked on many rides but it never seemed "empty" to me. Our favorite resturants were the Turf club and Tempan edo . I enjoyed the Turf club at SSR more than Le celier this trip.
I hope everyone had a great time and is busy planning thier next trip....

Overall, we had another great Sept trip. We stayed @ Pop Century from 9/4-9/13. We really enjoy the theming of Pop - we had another nice stay there. The bus service was pretty good & we liked the food court when we used it.

I thought the weather was great - yeah it was hot - but I've gotten used to it so it doesn't really bother me anymore. The only significant rain we encountered was the morning of 9/12 and even then it never rained heavily.

This is the 3rd straight year we went for Labor Day wknd & the week following it. It may have been slightly busier this year, than the 2 years prior but overall the waits were minimal or no wait-at-all and the crowds were fairly low. At peak times, especially on the weekends, some of the popular rides could reach up to 40 min wait times.

We had a few magical moments. On 9/8 our 4 yr old son was picked to take part in the end of the show @ Hoop Dee Doo. Then on 9/9 @ the opening of Toon Town, Mickey grabbed our son's hand and led him into his house in Toon Town for a private tour for our family that ended with a private meet-n-greet with Mickey & Minnie.

New dining experiences for us this year:
Teppan Edo dinner - very fun, good food - will do again
Sci Fi lunch - fun atmosphere & good food - will do again
Boma brkfst - nice atmosphere & very good buffet - probably do again
Boma dinner - good service but food had too many "flavors of Africa" - probably won't go back
The Plaza dinner - great service, good food, awesome desserts & shakes - will do again
Akershus brkfst - great service, good character interaction, food good but not much of a desirable selection off the cold buffet - would probably do again sometime
Crystal Palace dinner - good buffet, but brkfst there is much better - will probably stick to brkfst only for the future

MNSSHP on 9/11 - fun but seemed more crowded compared to the one we went to last year on 9/5/08.

Overall, another great Sept trip - we booked the bounceback for Sept 3-12 2010.

We were in the Treehouses at SSR Sept. 6-11. It was wonderful. We had a great time and walked on nearly every attraction. Loved the new Spaceship Earth, Haunted Mansion and Hall of Presidents. We had my birthday breakfast at Boma which is my favorite place of all time!

We had so much fun that I'm going back Nov. 15-20 for a non-park trip. This time I will just relaaaaaaaaaax.....can't wait!
