Labeling your kids

I wouldn't allow my young kids to go to Tom Sawyer Island alone, even if they were labeled. But that's just me. Every kid and every parent is different.

We used Safetytat temporary tattoos when we went many years ago with our 4 and 2 year old. This was before magic bands and it gave me a level of comfort that my cell number was quickly available. We didn't have any issues, but I did step around a store display and my daughter didn't see me go. I could see her, but she lost track of me. She did just as we said she should, and went to a Disney employee and was beginning to show her the tattoo as I was following her up to the counter. It kept her calm as well as she knew exactly what to do when she thought she lost us. She still remembers that and thinks that was such a great idea.

for all parents who think their know their cell phone number, do they know it including area code? because unless you live in the WDW area code knowing your phone number without area code is not going to help them get you on the phone. that also includes safety tats and dog tags will not help without area code. just something to think about as you most likely not in your phones home area code while at Disney

Seriously - I can not imagine losing a child at WDW. We started taking our children when they were 2,3,and 4 (yes they are all a year apart). Never lost one. Held their hands and had a great time. Unless you have a child that has a pattern of running away I would not be concerned. WDW is no different than any other place on earth.

Magic Bands. Your child is going to have one on. It has all your information on it. Make sure everything is upt o date in My Disney Experience. You could also write your phone number in sharpie on the inside or outside of the magic band.

Mine do. Where I live you HAVE to enter the area code to make a phone call now.
