LA Weightloss?

I started with LA Weightloss 6 weeks ago, and I've lost 18.5 lbs. They've given me a food plan to follow, that gives me a certain number of servings of fruits, veggies, protein, startch, etc per day. I keep a journal of everything I eat.

I weigh-in 3 times per week, and meet with a counselor each time. She goes over my journal, asks questions, and helps me make healthy decisions if I have a special event/party that I'm going to be attending.

I think I made the right choice with LA...with WW, I found myself cheating after weigh-in day, and trying to make up for it the rest of the week. With LA, I don't have the opportunity to cheat, because I have to be weighed every other day, and the personal counseling forces me to be more accoutable for my actions.

I paid $6/week for a 34 week program (for a 68lb weight loss goal) and a year of maintenance, up front. This doesn't include their supplements, or the protein bars and shakes that you're required to consume everyday.

I hope this helps a little. Let me know if you have any questions!

They have a $3 a week special right now. I need to lose 35 pounds--so that would be about, what, 20 weeks + 52 weeks of maintenance. Is that all payable up front? by the week? Month? Quarter?

How long do the weekly weigh-ins take?

Thanks, COmomof2

So, for 35 lbs...they would say you'd need 17.5 weeks of "weight loss". They offered me 2 different maintenance packages, one for 12 weeks, and one for 52. The price difference was only like $100, so I opted for the longer one. They also gave me 10% off if I paid in full up front. I think they must have a payment plan....it would make sense if they did...I just don't know for sure.

My weigh-ins take like 10-15 minutes...depends on how chatty you are! Their consultations are free, and they give you all the options in writing, so you can decide what is best for you. I told them at my consultation that I was deciding between them and WW, and I left without a hassle.

Back on Oct. 7th 1998 I started LA Weight Loss and lost 42 lbs by April of 1999. I didn't have any problem with the plan and kept the weight off until April of 2000 when I became pregnant with my first DD. I was sick all the time with her ate carbs to feel better and gained 60lbs with that pregnancy. Well 5 months after she was born...boom pregnant with DD #2, only gained 25 with her, but needless to say I have 45 lbs total to lose after those two pregnancies. I've tried going back on to LA weight loss since my second DD was born in 2002, but haven't done a good job sticking too it. Well today I paid for 22 weight loss weeks to start on Monday, and by darn I'm going to do it. I'm hoping by Memorial Day to have off 45 lbs, that is 2 lbs per week. Wish me luck...if you can stick with it, it really does work.
PM me if you want a LA Weight loss buddy!
