Pretty much what the title says... Can anyone tell me the difference between the golden circle and the cat 1 seats? They all seem to be in the same section, but are the golden circle seats different (more comfy or something?)

Can anyone speak from experience, is it worth the price difference?

Lower level seating at La Nouba, or any Cirque show for that matter, is not as good at the upper level seating. Much of the show is up high in the theater, and quite a bit on the walkway between the lower and upper levels. If in the lower, you have to look up a lot, or behind you, making or stiff necks by the end of the show. Frequent, or even one time visitors to a Cirque show will confirm that. Category 2 seating is about the best in the house.

I would say that the golden circle seats, being that they are about 6 rows back from the stage, are trying to get an extra ten dollars because the even closer seats are worse, having to even look up a bit at the stage itself, or having part of the view blocked by the edge of the stage. Low level seating at Cirque shows is not desirous.

We just did La Nouba. We had seats one row behind the VIP ones and just across the aisle from the golden seats.
The golden seats are a different color (gold/ish). That's the only difference I could see.
While Dan has a point, and I am not an experienced Cirque goer, I loved my seat. There was a solid percentage of the show that was at eye level and I love being able to see the expressions on the performers faces.
On the other hand, I imagine the upper level would provide a lovely, encompassing view of everything going on around the stage.
The theater is relatively small - I was surprised at the size of it. It's an intimate feeling space. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house (except maybe the very front where you would be staring up at everything - just as if you were front row in a movie theater).
So sitting in Cat 2 would save you some money and still give you an awesome show. Cat 1 would give you a different view, not necessarily better or worse depending on your preference. VIP or golden would cost you more money without providing any additional benefit....
