Hello all! I will be in CA for about 12 days end of March through the 1st week in April and would like to know is the LA go card worth it? We plan on doing some of the star tours, museums, universal studios, KBF maybe. The warner bro tour and so on
Wanted to also know if we have the LA card can we pay to upgrade the US tickets to front of the line passes
How was your exp using the card??

Im just a little worried that i would be wasting money if it isnt worth it.

This would be our first time in CA and want to try and fit alot of things in.

Thanks

I would price out the things you want to see, searching for any available discounts. Then compare to the price of the Go Card. Typically the Go Card requires you to stick to a pretty frantic schedule in order to make it worth the price.

We just purchased it and are going to use it for the first time the week of July 6th. You have to look at all the things you want to do and price these things out separately and see where the best discounts are and see what the best cost scenario is for your family. For us it was a really good deal. Thisng like Warner Bros studio Tour/Universal Studios can add up. Our plan is to do USH one day, Sony & Madame Tussauds day 2, Pacific Park Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, Movie stars Tour Day 3. So for us it's a good deal. Also, Costco has a 4 day ticket if your interested in it. I am not sure about to front of the line pass but would like to hear if anyone has done it and what the cost was.

Thanks guys! Im definitely getting the LA go card as long as it includes US however I would love to know if we can pay the difference for FOTL pass

What is the best site to purchase the card?
I found two good options. The cheapest was way.com. I bought my 3 day passes from them. I bought my 4 day passes that you can't buy anywhere else from Costco.com. our family is splitting up one day so that was the cheapest way for us to go.

I just called USH & asked if you can upgrade to a front of the line pass & I was told that you can if there are anymore available for that specific day. I asked how much to upgrade & the lady told me that I would have to be given the rate that day when I'm there as well. I guess I'll have to wait & see if we are going to upgrade or not.

We wont be heading out until March 2016
A lot can change between now & then. We looked at this card months ago & were hoping to go to the paramount studio tour & that was removed for summer travels. It was on the spring card. Still its a really good deal if you plan it out to get the most for your money but I wouldn't purchase it until closer to your date as the price also changes from season to season. The cost of mine got better☺

Hi -- I'm looking into this card for a July 2016 trip and was wondering if anyone has ever had trouble not getting into the Warner Bros. tour or other popular attractions because they have sold out for the day. I know I could book the Warner Bros. tour separately and book ahead online, but I don't think I can do that with the Go card. Is it walk-up only? Thanks!

I would call and ask Warner Bros if you had a Go card if they allowed you

I would call the tours like Warner Bros and ask if they will let you make a reservation as you have a Go card. We did this with Sony Studios and they let us make a reservation in advance. For the movie stars home tour we went a coule hours before the tour we wanted to go on which was early in the morning to make sure we were able to get in as they only accepted first come first serve. For Madame Tussauds we were able to walk in no issue.

Great tip! Thank you very much!
