Have things changed at the Ditch? This past weekend there was a sign outside the bar that said the bar was to go only and the tables were for food service only. The menu is still just a few picky things, no real food and there is a rope that divides the bar and the tables so that no one can gather at the bar or wander back to a table. Is this new or is it temorary for the F&W only. Kind of ruined the place. Epcot was packed, The Ditch was empty.

The place has been slammed on the weekends due to the festival, that's correct. It's been slower on weekdays, especially if you go there when they first open.

My friends are keeping me up to date with posts about this on Facebook.

They had that set up when we were there a couple weeks ago (during food and wine)...they were doing multiple tequila tasting seminars and had the area roped off for the seminars. The bar was serving to go only.

When we went back later at night, the tables were open for everyone.

The food menu is small but very tasty!! Crab tostadas go great with the jalapeno margaritas!!

We went into La Cava the first weekend of the festival, and had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table. There was a hostess outside that handled the tables just like a regular restaurant. It was busy, but as always, a great time...

We went there on a Wednesday afternoon two weeks ago and they did have the rope up. The CM at the door asked if we were looking for the bar and we said we wanted a table and she let us pick where ever we wanted to sit (no questions asked about whether we were ordering food). There was only one other group at the tables at that time. We got sangria and crab tostadas, which were very good (I do miss the shrimp ones that are no longer on the menu).

We finally made it in La Cava Saturday afternoon, but only for takeout. The pavillion was insane. We couldn't even find the end of the line for the ride and the CM I asked was just wild-eyed and frantic - he just couldn't answer me.

Loved it, though. Good times.

:)
