It is a very sad time for her, and I totally admire this amazingly strong young woman. She said right from the start, that she wouldn't skate if she didn't feel like she could give 100%. She is doing exactly what she said she would do. Now, let's hope that Emily Hughes is up for the chance. She too is a young woman of great character....never grumbling about not making the team so Michelle could go. Everything happens for a reason.

Michelle Kwan is still one of the greatest skaters ever in my book!

I am sad that she can't compete. She is such a wonderful figure skater. I would have loved to see her win an Olympic gold medal.

Michelle Kwan has everything to be proud of! She is such an accomplished young woman!!! She made the best decision she could under the circumstances. It would have been a fairy tale ending to have her win the gold on her last try but, alas, it was not meant to be!
