Kudu vs. Zebra

I'm back to my excessive planning so I need some help/advice.

We are returning to AKL in October. We will probably request Arush Savannah, (DD needs the Zebras). Previously we were on Zebra Trail, 2nd flr, room 25?? (can't remember exactly). Well we can't decide if we should mix it up a bit. Change floors or trails. Anyone have any reviews of Zebra or Kudu trail and if there are any difference? And any insight on floor 2,3 or 4?? Thanks again!

We just returned from a 9 day stay at AKL in 2 rooms. Both were on the Arusha Savannah - one on the Kudu Trail and one on the Zebra Trail. I'm sure we saw the very same animals from both rooms. The second floor is considered eye level and we had great viewing from room 2303. We had good viewing from the 5th floor, room 5505 - saw lots of animals but had to look down through some trees so we thought the view was better from the second floor.

I like to mix it up, but I think I prefer Zebra trail because you're closer to pool, maya, arcade. Just a thought...

I would also choose Zebra Trail again just for the convenience of being closer to the pool, restaurants, arcade, playground, laundry, kid's club, and outside animal viewing by the pool. We loved being on Zebra Trail this past Feb. for these very reasons. We actually ended up having two rooms. First was on the second floor. We liked this floor due to be close to the night vision scopes and just a short walk down the hall and stairs to Boma and Jiko. However we had a problem with the room and asked to be moved which they did very nicely and moved us up to the fourth floor. Fourth floor was also very nice but you were looking more down at the animals than the more "eye-level" view the second floor gives you.

Enjoy a second visit!!! We loved AKL too and are considering another visit there again this coming Feb!

We have stayed at AKL twice and both times on the KUDU trail level 3 and 4. Both had great views.

However, good points expressed by others on the Zebra Trail being closer to the pool, etc..... I think when we return we will request the Zebra Trail.
