Reading the thread announcing that DCL has reclassified the controversial obstructed view staterooms started me pondering on the many changes they have made due to guest feedback. Besides that one, there was making the Promenade Lounge non-smoking, bringing back the embarkation shrimp and Palo chocolate souffle, and the current experiment in making the dining times earlier. They even briefly brought back the hand-scooped ice cream at Scoops, although alas, it didn't last. There are many more changes and improvements that I've seen over the years...those are only a few. No company is perfect, but I think they deserve major kudos for listening to their guests and making changes based on the feedback. Not all companies will do that, but DCL has done it time and time again. They will never please all of the people all of the time, but at least they are trying. People who have a complaint tend to be much more vocal than those who are happy, and there are probably a lot of individual complaints that get settled without our ever knowing about them. Disney is a high visibility company, and it's nice to know that even such a large organization can put its customers first, pay attention to what they want and what they are saying, and make changes accordingly. It's one of the reasons we've sailed with them 23 times now, with a dozen more already planned.
