For anyone considering Hojo for your stay, I would heartily recommend them. Our rooms were wonderful, the staff is AMAZING, the highly debated walk length is VERY doable - even with one child in a stroller, my highly asthmatic mother, and me with a bandaged foot, it never took us over ten minutes to be from parking lot to entrance. And at the end of a LONG day of walking, the stroll back to our room was never an issue. This is coming from a lazy-by-nature Pooh-esque person, so you skinny fit people could probably walk laps around the parking lot just for fun!!
And with the entertainment rate, our checkout was a really nice surprise. Two rooms for three nights were so affordable that my Grumpy husband is actually allowing me to start talking about a return trip in 2012!

And we payed like 110 or something and we got it with the HoJo for 89. Which we thought was a good deal for where it is located. I wont lie we are concerned about the walk at the end of the night with our 4 girls in tow! But we googled it and google said it was about as far as the distance to our kids school down the street...so I have my fingers crossed!! And everyone on here seems to like it!
J/K - we are not used to the So Cal MEGA water pressure in the restrooms, I told my DH to hang on to our kids when we flushed for fear one might get sucked down.....
Staying at the HoJo again. We enjoyed it when we were there a few years ago (before they upgraded their pool) so it is nice to hear that they are still getting good reviews.
I also did not think that the walk was very far at all. Actually, when we stayed at the DHR, the walk to the park was further. Go figure!
