I know that you can link a credit card to your KTTW card, but can you put cash against it. If I have say $500 to spend in the parks, can I go to the front desk and give them the cash and have it put against my card so I can just carry my card? And if I do this and I don't spend it all, will they refund what I haven't used?

Thanks

Yes, you can put cash on your KTTW and yes they will refund back whatever is left on it when you leave. I have done this a few times. Keep in mind though, it's still good to carry some cash for little things or places that might not take a KTTW like a beverage or ice cream cart. Also, it's harder to keep track when you have your cash on a KTTW card. When you buy something it doesn't give you the remaining amount on the card or anything, you can check at the desk at your resort though. If you buy and use Disney Gift cards they can check the balance left at the stores.

The carts take the KTTW cards, I'm not saying they all do, but I haven't found one that doesn't on my last couple trips. I'm pretty sure this is now the standard as it would inconvience people on the dining plan.

Hy guys, what if I wanted to link credit card with the KTTW, but not have them charge anything to the CC and just pay off my KTTW card every night? They just have to link it to SOMETHING for me to be able to charge things to my card, right?

I do know the coffee cart (REAL COFFEE not nescafe) at the TTC only takes cash. Also we have had times that the card readers were not working, or being rebooted when we wanted a snack, so cash does come in handy.

So true! We have run across this situation on multiple occasions. Cash is good even if you plan on charging most items to your room.

The nighttime push carts with the Glow and Flash items require cash. Also the Ballon vendors take only cash. I must and that at TS restaurants I prefer to tip with cash!
