Hello everyone, I am new to the DCL and I've never been on any cruise line before. So I am really happy! I was wondering what is a KTTW Card and what is it use for? Also, when do you get it? Thank You So Much For All Your Help! :)

That is your Key To The World card. Your room key and charging card onboard.

It used to be that the same "key" would be used for those people doing a WDW resort in conjuction with their cruise for both the resort room and room onboard the ship.

You receive it when you checkin at the port.

So it's pretty much a room key and a credit card combined together. When you book onshore excursions it all goes to your KTTW card? How will you pay for the onshore excursion then?

Your Key to the World card is your room key, but it is also used for purchasing things and charging it back to your onboard account! I believe You get it when you check in at the port. I have only been on one DCL in 2009, so im sure more people who have been there recently can add more!!

When will you pay all the stuff that was charged onto your account and how?

When you do your online checkin, you must tell them how your onboard account will be paid. Generally you place a credit card number on it. It will be charged to your credit card at the end of the cruise.

Oh ok, thank you PrincessShmoo!:cool1:

Something I learned while onboard a few weeks ago:

They have a threshold on money's due on your account before they make a charge against your credit card. Guest services told me that it was $500.

After multiple trips to Oh La La, needless to say, they ran my card a few times. ;)

Enjoy your trip. Was Paradise on earth for my family and I.

You can also put cash on your account. I believe they limit the amount you can put on it (not sure why).

Yes, you can put cash on your account. You will be called down to the Guest Services desk to add additonal cash when you get close to using all you've initially place on your account.

They want to be sure they get the money.

Your KTTW card also serves as an ID card on board. It is coded with your security photo, name, birthdate, etc. It shows whether you purchased DCL transfers on the way home as well.

It is also your boarding card. They will swipe this each time you get on or off the ship in ports.
