Quick question ... can I charge food to my room with my Key to the World card? Counter service and table service? We leave in 12 days
( ) and I'm trying to decide how much cash to bring. I'd just as soon charge as much with the KTTW card as possible.

You can charge your meals to your room key for table servie and counter service. The only place to be careful is the free standing kiosks with snacks and drinks. The ones that can't take charges should have a sign saying "cash purchases only".

If you enable room charging, you can charge anything to your KTTW card at any Disney-owned shop, store, cart, kiosk, restaurant, or eatery at WDW, as long as it has a card reader.

Non-Disney places, such as those at the Swan and Dolphin, and a bunch of stores at the West Side, will not accept KTTW cards or Disney Dollars.

Note: You must specifically enable room chargin on your KTTW cards when you check in. You can either swipe a credit card, or put down cash/travellers checks/Disney Dollars/Disney Gift Card as a deposit. The charge limit will depend on the category resort where you're staying - Value resorts get a $500 limit, Moderate resorts get a $1000 limit, and Deluxe and above get a $1500 limit.

Thanks WillCAD! Great info. I am psyched that I won't have to carry alot of cash.

Hey - did you used to post on the Readers Clubhouse, years ago? Your id name and photos look so familiar, like I have seen you post before. Perhaps it was just here and I am losing it. HAHA. :rotfl2:

Yeah, that's me, same guy, more gut. I was a moderator in the Salon and conducted a few chats.

These days I post in several Disney message board communities, and I moderate the Photography board and daily lunchtime chat at Tagrel.com.

Cool! I'm suprised I remember that - it was 2001 when I was on the Readers Clubhouse alot planning my trip for that year. Seems like a looooong time ago. ;)
