Hi Krystal. I am sure that I am about to become the most hated person on here. I checked out of Pop Century on Tuesday, the 20th. I believe the group that I was staying with was using your fridge. My family was the last to leave and I mistakenly assumed that it was a resort fridge. The fridge got left in the room and the people at the resort have not located it.

I did make arrangements for the people staying immediately after us to have a fridge for the duration of their stay. I feel terrible about this and am willing to replace the fridge. I wanted to send this privately, but I registered just to let you know about this and my post count was not high enough. Perhaps you could p.m. me a way to contact you. This was NOT the fault of the person who originally contacted you about the fridge. They left it for us to use after they checked out and I am the one responsible.

I am very sorry for any incovenience that this may cause anyone else.

Please swappers-no personal attacks. We all know the box was lost weeks ago, and like I said-a box is absolutley necessary to keep this swap running. I guess we now see how necessary that it was.

You will all know shortly, what the status of the swap is. So for now, hang in there. Don't all bail. My phone number is on the side of the fridge, so IF Pop calls me there is still a chance of keeping this running. However, you see what happens when the box is gone.

Wow! Kudos to this person!! In the year that I ran the stroller swaps when a stroller was lost, I never had anyone step forward like this. And offering to replace our lost fridge :worship: What an awesome gesture of good faith! The world definitely can use more ppl like this. :love:

Our family will be coming down to POP on 8/3-8/12. We were originally scheduled to have the refrigerator on 8/5-8/12. Our other party is going to use a refrigerator that we are planning to ship down on the airplane and I am happy to leave it at POP to use in this SWAP so this lady doesn't have to buy one. Unfortunately, it won't be available in the SWAP until 8/12. Just let me know if you are interested in this.

bennyd has volunteered to purchase and donate another fridge. HOWEVER the fridge going MIA was due to a chain of events and not just one person is to blame. I knew that once the box was lost things would go downhill pretty quickly. Besides, if bennyd did order a fridge and have it shipped down it probably wouldn't be there before stampwithamy would arrive.

Sadly, one swapper will be without a fridge:sad1: but the fridge swap will get back on track soon.

Thank you to everyone who came up with creative ideas and those of you who have volunteered to donate a fridge-it's greatly appreciated. :thumbsup2

So, now that we will have a fridge, we will need the following ASAP:
colored contact paper (or other decoration for the fridge box to make it stand out).
Permanent marker (black preferably)
Disinfectant wipes
Anything else you would like to donate (coffee pot maybe?)

Just keep an eye on the thread. I usually have what we need posted here, or people who just used the fridge will update us as to what it needs.
 
Hello all, I was going to bring a full sized 12 cup coffee pot with me as I need a couple of big cups of Tim Hortons coffee every morning. I will leave the coffee pot along with filters and some Tim Hortons coffee for the next person.

I will check closer to my departure on August 21, but I can pack a roll or two of Tuck Tape to strengthen the box along with some wrapping paper, perminate markers to label the fridge, and any cleaning supplies that are needed like a container of wipes etc...

I am very glad to hear that the swap is back on track

I was the person scheduled for the fridge. I was very impressed with the way this situation was handled. I checked in on 7/21 and tried to locate the fridge. I then called the swapper before me who got back to me in a very prompt manner. By the end of the night, arrangements had been made and a fridge was delivered to me. Thanks so much. This gesture was very unexpected abut much appreciated. I kept checking back to see if our fridge was located because I didn't want the swapper after me to be without a fridge. Unfortunately, when I left on 7/27 the fridge was still missing.
