Kroger - Disney Gift Cards Save $5

So technically you could get enough giftcards to use for a vacation? Can you apply these as payment for a vacation package booked through Disney?....I was just thinking that way I would have the money "set aside" for Oct. and about a zillion grocery items free!:confused3....oh and all w/my 3x rewards

The Smiths by my work only had only had two of these. Looks like I'm going hunting for more. Anyone know if you can get these combines at any of the parks or add it to a room to be charged off of? So much easier on a few cards than on many.

I called the # on back of the card and asked if they can be used to pay off your Disney vacation and they said yes if it was booked directly thru Disney. I didn't think about asking if they could be combined.....Just figured I would have the CM scan each one upon check in. It's only 12 cards:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I didn't have 12 but had 5 VISA gift cards & 1 Disney gift card when we went a few years ago. We had switched cell phone service to AT&T and received gift cards for the rebate (x 2 - me & DH) and each of us got a blue tooth which qualified us for 2 more gift cards. Then my husband sent in his old phone which qualified for another gift card then I had a Disney gift card. The CM was just fine with it. She said it gave her good practice on applying gift cards to the balance:)

Don't you just love WDW CM's?! :goodvibes:lovestruc

I have a season pass for Busch parks (well, not really "Busch" parks anymore) that I get 30% off of food/merchandise. When I go to use it I get the biggest issues and big long sighs from whoever I'm giving it to :confused3.

I agree -- I do love WDW CM's. We had one of the nicest ones, I think it was at CS. I asked him if he had a some time because I had around 10 old tickets and wanted to see if he would mind to check each one of them for any unused days. He even handed me a Sharpie so I could write down the number of days left:thumbsup2
The CM's are what made the decision for me to go to WDW by myself with my DS & DD. I knew from previous experiences that if I needed anything they would most definitely help.

I think my store had just restocked. THey had rows and rows. On Sunday they were out. I did mine in separate transactions with a nice cashier. The sotre was empty and I told her if there had been a line I would have let others by. She said no way we would do this anytime.

I bought enough to cover one of our Table Service meals that we'd have to pay out of pocket since we have the QS plan.

I also used my Disney VIsa but have never gotten an offer for 3X rewards or any extra!!

Me either. I've had my Disney Visa for 5 years and have never received any offer (but I only charge about $500 a month anyways [and, of course, pay it off :)]).

That's good to know your store restocked! Maybe mine did today as well! :goodvibes

My store didn't restock (they never had them in the first place and didn't know they existed even though there is a picture of them in the store's ad). I checked will all three Krogers in my town :-(

My cousin (who is going to Disney with us) is in GA right now, and she found 14 sets, so that's how many we bought.

If you booked through Disney, you can pay your balance due with them over the phone. Just tell them you want to make a $15 payment and give them the number. Repeat for as many cards as you've got. We will have $630 to apply. I only did one (she gave me the numbers over the phone so I could make sure it worked before buying more).

Now I'll have to go buy groceries at Kroger since they wouldn't let her use the $5 off coupon on gift cards. Oh well, it isn't hard to spend $70 at the grocery store. It is effectively over a 10% discount on top of our free regular dining plan at Pop Century (booked bounceback).

Silly ? maybe but when doing self check out how do I activate the GCs ~ do they automatically activate once one bar code is scanned or do I scan each GCs bar code????

Neverland club - I wodner why we don't get them. I use mine in spurts. More when we have a Disney trip planned and pay it off all the time as well. My friend gets them constantly!!

I'm in KY by the way.

I never thought about the additional discount we were getting. If I wasn't doing the 0% for 6 months I'd get more cards.

Yes, they activate automatically....the person watching the self service area will give you the receipt showing how much is on the gift cards (this is a seperate receipt).

Just got back from Kroger and was able to get two 3-packs. What a great deal!

1) Used $5.00 off $50 coupon from Entertainment Book (bought some $5 coffee we needed anyway to get the total to $50)

2) Got the $5.00 coupon after purchase was done.

3) Was able to charge the whole thing on my AMEX Blue Sky, which gives me $1 for every $75 I spend.

4) Got 96 "gas points" for each $43 purchase!!! (Which means $.10 off per gallon for a whole tank's fillup after I spend $4 more)

THEN

I went back and did the whole deal again (had another Entertainment Bk coupon).

So I got the $45 worth of gift cards for $34.50 plus a gas discount. Not bad!!!:banana:

I got all 9 that my Kroger had. I'll try another one tomorrow and see if they have any. What a deal :thumbsup2!

You should have gotten 90 gas points per gift card....atleast at my Kroger the gift card purchases earn double points. After all my purchases I ended up with $.50 off per gallon....that is a nice little perk.

I did. I mean each 3-card pack got me 90 or so gas points. After buying 2 of those packs I ended up with something like 186 total points!

Cool :cool1::cool1::cool1:

When I originally bought these I didn't know anything about the fuel perks. I just happened to look at my receipt and asked someone I worked with how this works. I never shop at Kroger so, they are making me a permanent customer. I also, learned they double coupons up to $1....Meijer were I normally shop only doubles up to $.50.

So, just got 11 packs and will be off for more tomorrow. lol. Anyone know if the disney store can combine them? I dont know where I would even put this many cards.

Thanks for the tip!

I checked Smiths Food and Drug Store ad online, (which is a Kroger store here) and they have the gift card promo going.

I have bought about 18 packs so far and have called several times to pay on our Sept trip. I only like to use about 12 cards or so at a time, I feel for the CM that had to put them in.
I called the Disney store to see if I could combine them and was told no a gift card can't be used to buy another gift card
