Krispy Kremes opens in Vancouver suburb

Hey folks! It finally opened on Tuesday Feb. 24th with about 15 people camped outside it. It is 30 minutes away and I wonder when we'll go cruising down south of us.

It is very enjoyable to read people's first impressions of the Krispy Kreme. It is definitely addictive to many people.

Still closer for me to drive to Orlando. Think I'll do just that. Krispey Kreme here I come.

they opened one in philadelphia like 2 miles from my apartment. I LOVE them. but after I eat too many i feel so sick. But I still love them!! Some of my favorites are the glazed raspberry filled and the plain. They have good pumpkin ones seasonally. Unfortunately I moved from there. so no more krispy kremes for me.

Oh my goodness....I don't even know if I can decide which is better...Tim Horton's or Krispy Kremes. Good for both, you can't really compare them.

I tried my first Krispy Kreme donut in Vegas and it was yummy. I'm waiting to have another one on our next trip. I wish they would open one here.

They are so yummy! It's funny to see how excited people get in other areas when a new one opens up, since I'm used to always having one near-by. But I'm glad that other people like them as much as I do.

A Krispy Kreme finally opened up in Lansing, and we went last week. They were making the glazed doughnuts when we were there, it was neat to see that procedure. Then, one of the workers grabbed two off the pan and held them out to us saying "would you like a free sample?" Not a doughnut "hole", but a whole doughnut!!! OMG, that first bite!! Wow!!

We bought a dozen, I had two more and DH had four!!
Then, when we got home, I got on the web site and discovered each glazed doughnut has 200 calories and 22 carbs! Oh my!!

Glad there isn't one closer to us, it would be too tempting!!!

Although I do not need the calories from doughnuts, it still rankles me that Tim Hortons has down-sized their doughnuts. And you have to eat them right away, they don't keep at all. Plus, I understand instead of making them fresh, their doughnuts are frozen and then baked!
I was a huge fan (no pun intended) of Tim Horton's, but it looks like I may switch my allegiance. Now, gotta get hubby to drive the 30 miles to Krispy Kreme with me.
