Krispy Kremes....did you know????.....

When I was in Virginia this past weekend, they had all kinds of KK's at the Farm Fresh. They had Honeybun KK's; boxed KK's of plain glazed, chocolate glazed, and sugar coated covered; they even had KK Fruit Pies - you know midwesterners like those Hostess Fruit Pies - Apple and Cherry. I wanted one so bad but I was too chicken to try them.

I had no clue - I thought they only made donuts!!!!!

Me too P....me too!!!! And I don't know if they got rid of the one they had in Norfolk but I didn't see a fresh place at all. They were all in the grocery stores and gas stations but not one fresh "shop" at all. And I was so hoping when my uncle went out to get donuts but they were from Dunkin'....not the same!

Do youi guys ahve a KK in Chicago. We have a couple here and I avoid them pretty well. Its hard but I manage.

We haven't a single KK here in Oregon. That in and of itself is grounds for moving away.

I just drove by one of the 2 Krispy Kreme places here in CT, and I was going to go through the drive thru, but I wasn't sure what donut to get! What's everyone's favorite KK?

Oh man,

Krisy Kreme just put in a fancy new store at the Mall of America last summer. We were there two weeks ago and the line was out the DOOR at 3 p.m.!

People were buying dozens at a crack at .85 each.

so many types available and I didn't get one, LOL.

There are only 2 stores in MN so far, both new.

Hi neighbor! I'm up north....one state.
We now have 3 KK in the state and plans for more.
The closest one to me is about 35 miles......man are they good hot !!
But my fav is the custard filled/chocolate covered

I knew that in southern states they offered other products in the grocery stores. And I wish they did here. They just started selling KK's at the local Jewel chain grocery stores here.

My favorite is cream filled glazed. Yummy!

My fav is the creme filled with chocolate on top or a plain glazed served hot at the KK. Haven't seen the fruit pies or the hunnybuns yet tho.

We have a KK bakery/shop right around the corner from work. It's got a drive thru and it's open 24 hrs. The smell makes me queasy.....

No KK here on the Cape that I know of, I have enough of a hard time not eating any Dunkin Donuts. Are KK's Better than DD?

There's one in Rosemont I know, a close suburb of Chicago, out near O'Hare airport.

The grocery store ones are not the same, though. Good but not great. I assume it's b/c they have to have preservatives and/or different recipe to give them shelf life. There are some grocery stores and convenience stores that stock fresh ones -- they get them once or twice a day. Not the same as hot ones, but good.

Although we live in NC, our closest fresh KK outlet is 20 miles away. Ironically, there is a factory that makes the grocery store ones here -- you wouldn't believe the smell from the neighborhood next door.

My favorite is lemon. My dh prefers the traditional glazed. My oldest son's favorite is lemon, and my other two boys like glazed with chocolate frosting best.

I live in the Southwest Chicago burbs and there are several KK near me. One is on rt. 53 near Seven Bridges. One is in Bolingbrook on Weber rd. Another is being built on rt. 59 near Fox Valley. We love them fresh and hot! Funny, I was raised in the south and had no idea people in the rest of the country were KK deprived! People up here go nuts for them!! Is this a public company? Probably one stock that could actually make some money (HAHA) Now, if they would only get Chick-Fil-A up here I might not keep trying so hard to get back to the south!
