Dh came home tonight and said that one of the guys at work told him that KK in Kitchener is closing and that Tim Hortons is moving in. Is there any truth to this??? They just opened last fall didn't they?

I haven't stopped in there as often as I thought because it is in an area that I rarely visit when I go to Kitchener. Dh stopped in today and picked up some to take in for the staff at work in Guelph and said that KK seemed reasonably busy.

I haven't heard anything, but I would be surprised if it was. It's always very busy, it's amazing to me how long of a line up people will stand in for a donut!

Yes and I was also told the Brampton store and a few others ones are closing and the London and Windsor locations are not even going to be built now

Oh nooooooooooooooooooo! What happened? Did KK not catch on, like it did in Mississauga?

I think it is true, we have a friend who's son works there and he said it has been really slow. I don't know why they didn't catch on like in Mississauga. I tried to go once but couldn't find it. i rarely go to that area of Kitchener either so maybe location was a problem.

DSNY FAN -There is a KK in Windsor and it is always packed!

Dh just told me that there are more Tim Horton's in Kitchener per capita than anywhere else.

Is they are opening smaller versions inside Movie Theatres.

I noticed this trend but you did not hear it from me!

I noticed one in a theatre too ... I didn't get a close look at them, but I don't think that those ones are warm... they're not the same cold ;)

I'm starting to think they're not as popular as everyone originally thought. I know everyone at work prefers Tim Horton's to KK. I've brought them in a couple of times and they just sit there...

Yes, it's the Kitchener store I'm referring to. I drive by at least once daily and they are always lined up for drive thru and the parking lot is usually full. Kitchener is definitely over run with Tim Horton's--I swear owning a TH franchise is like a license to print money!!

Tracey ~ only 100 days until WDW for you! It goes fast once you hit 100! S

I know Sandra!!! Boy do I need this trip. Starting tomorrow I'll do the 2 digit dance!

There is or was supposed to be one going in by the bridge and it was either closing or not being built that is what I heard from some friends that live in Windsor and a friend of ours owns the Wendy's at Wonderland and Southdale in London to whick the KK was to go beside and the land did say leased or sold but is now back up for sale again.

oh no!!! I don't want it to close!! I don't go often, but whenever we have visitors, KK is always a stop on our agenda. It just opened last year!!

This is NOT GOOD news!!!!
I love KK, I even go all the way to Mississauga to get them.
I bet the guy that owns them all can't fund them all. (yes, it's only one guy that has the franchise rights for all of CANADA)

The creme filled ones are my favourites and there's a key lime creme filled that I want to try.

Even here in Woodstock, I often see fun-raisers with KK donuts. I don't believe that they will close up completely here in Canada.

Maybe some markets (like Kitchener) are too loyal to TH's. But I really think they could have chosen a better location for that store, too ~ closer to the 401.

Oooh ... key lime :p I haven't seen that one yet ... I'm going to have to go sometime soon!! My favourite is the maple glazed but I also like getting the regular glazed when they're hot!

but I said no! If I had known there were Key Lime flavoured ones!

Maybe we'll drop by tomorrow, but who knows what type of mood she'll be in or even wanting to eat any more since this sleepover she is at is going to have a bonfire, and they were suppose to make S'mores!
